I've been up and down these boards.. and I STILL cannot find an answer...

there is no possible way to enable the microphone and stereo mix on my pc... so either I get all voice and hardly any music or music and no voice.

tips? solutions? anything???

I really wish there was someone on here who could really answer this question... there are so many people having the same problem as me and none of us are getting answers.

well, it's not cus no one wants to help. Seems, that no one has the answer. To get a mix, on alot of sound cards, all ya gotta do is have stereo mix ticked in the recording properties. So, we all assume, it works the same for most cards. Course if you have a SB sound card you have "what u hear", which is the same thing as "stereo mix". Then their are those that have "wave-out" or "wave mix" which is also the same thing. All we can do is tell you what we know but as you can see, it does not work the same for all cards. I used to have the "stereo mix" option before and had not problems with it but then again, I didn't have it when I joined Singsnap. By the time I joined SS, I had an SB card. Anyways, the only thing I can think of is either call support for your card and see what they tell you? Have you tried recording with your own recording program to see if it will record both voice and music together when ticking the "stereo mix" box? If it does, then it is something with SS and not your sound card. Understand what I am trying to say ? Cuz before I had real tek sound card and I could record both at the same time on my own recording program but then again, I never tried this on SS. When I have a moment and I get my other computer hooked up to the internet, I will see if I can get that one working on SS, since that computer has an integrated sound card. At the moment, that computer is boxed up for the move.
Hopefully someone soon can have this figured out. BUT for the moment, try contacting your support tech for the card or see if it will record both on your own recording program. Then you can figure out wether it is the card or Singsnap.

Yes, I have tried it with my own sound recorder... recording as I switch back and forth between stereo mix and the mic... and the only time I can hear my voice is when I have the mic checked

my sound card is an nForce2 from Nvidia.

Thank you :D

I have an old PC with Nforce2 (Nvidia) chipset onboard sound somewhere, and I think it should be fine on SS.
If I have the time, I'll try it sometime and post you the screenies how.
If it's an Abit NF7-S thats prolly the best onboard sound Ive ever heard. The ASUS board wasn't bad either.
