Can't some of the "general categories" be lumped under "Off Topic"

Listed in the Website Suggestions category.

There are currently MANY categories. Many I wish not to read. Which is fine, naturally we ALL have that right. Here's the problem, it makes it tougher to notice a category that DOES in fact pertain to Singing, Singsnap, Duets, etc when on the main menu exists, "Games" "Politics" many redundant topics that are dups,.. Most folks (myself included much of the time) are relatively lazy. What this means is we don't go combing thru each main thread and respective sub-thread category to find something we are looking for if it means combing through a multitude of non-related content. Shouldn't "Beliefs" and "Health" and ALL NON-SINGSNAP related categories be IN the Off-topic thread so I don't form an additional thread already existing in a SINGING category because the bboards appear cluttered making it difficult to find the proper category to post under or find answers to our questions that might've been asked and answered 50 times already ? Can we organize the bboards somewhat ?

The mainboard categories can easily be cut down to close to 1/3 of the headings that currently exist taking into consideration duplicate headings and off-topic content.
==============================

I can understand maybe 9 main topics TOPS !

*Administrative announcements
*Website help- "How to" and TOS
*Website Suggestions
*Newbies introduce yourselves
*Song Category related questions
*Contests
*Singing and Singer events and help
*Duets (looking for singing partners)
*Off Topic

But currently there's just TOO much unnecessary content in the main thread and it's sub-thread IMHO

My whole point is even in the main message board topics, there are topics that aren't organized in appropriate areas that would make it easier to follow (like in an arranged catalogue).
There should likely be fewer main categories, and more sub-categories directly listed and organized in their respective locations so I can find more SINGING related content with greater ease

Why not keep the MAIN message board for Singsnap related content and ALL else :off Topic: such as "Hobbies" "Politics" "Health" Beliefs" . These topics have little to do directly with singing and singsnap.. I know to each individual their topic is worthy of a highlight, but in fact, this isn't so. There are MANY members, some posting relatively frivolous dup material in areas where other more pertinent content needs to be more readily found
