Hello & welcome to round # 8of our contest! The talent in this contest continues to overwhelm! As you know as long as you got a song in last round, you are good to go for Round#8 and the same goes if you get an entry in this round! So I hope to see everyone that is alive going into this round singing in the 9th round also!

We lost some loved performers this round & the will cause a void next week.

20 not 25 are now scheduled to be dropped after round #9 if everyone makes the deadline for this round…

How Many are left?

Like I said another great job everyone did this past round. Keep in mind that your scores for rounds 8 & 9 are being added together and totaled with Round #7 so you still have 2/3rds of you score awaiting you! The scoring is being tweaked these 3 rounds and each mistake will cost you in your total. Also unfortunately starting this round the 9 PM Friday deadline/curfew LOL will be strictly enforced to make it as fair as possible to those who get in on time & to the judges to give them time to score as precisely as possible for these three rounds are going to be extremely important & you will see why after round 9 ends. There will be 20 of you leaving by the time the cuts take place after round 9 and this will include those not getting songs in on time. This number of 20 is a concrete number (unless anybody does not beat the deadline in round #8)that must be taken to make the rest of the contest run how it is designed to be run.

Here are the rules for “Teddypossum’s Triple Threat”

You will be singing ONE song from the list of artists which corresponded with the number you chose during the last round. SEVEN of those numbers will have THREE artists to choose from, but the other TWO groups will have either EIGHTEEN or TWENTY-SEVEN artists to choose from.
If you did not get the BIGGER number of artist to choose from this round, maybe next round you will. Go listen to a lot of the songs by the artists you are being assigned as sometimes, you do not recognize a song by its name but when you hear it, it rings a bell with you ;o)
You will need to post along with your Song name ~ Artist & link, a number 1 to 9 for the next round. Here is an example:

This number picking for the next round needs to be done with each rounds submission. Until the round I change things at the end…

The 1-9 number you choose will correspond with a group of three artists usually but not always a Singing Group, a Female Singer and a Male Singer. Once you Find out what your Triple Threat mission is, you can go check out all of their Sing Snap material available & find the song you think can knock our socks off & give you life into another round!
Each round you MUST post a number between 1-9 with your entry. If you fail to post the number you want & you make it to the next round, you will be assigned a number of OUR CHOICE!!!

You may duplicate a song submitted by another singer if you wish. You may use your pitch changer & Videos and Harmonies are always welcome! Pre-records are also allowed for all rounds, if you happen to have them. Contact us before rounds end if you have some sort of trouble getting your song in, we may be able to work with you!
Each round, the songs will need to be in on Friday Nights by 9 PM Sing Snap time and we will have the new thread up by Saturday nights at 6 PM. :o)

An artist may appear more than once in the contest, but expect to learn new songs. The reason this contest is called “Triple Threat” is because you get at least 3 artist each round to choose from, but one of the 1-9 numbers each round will have 6x3 artists available and one other one will have 9x3 for you to choose from! These will change each round. Sometimes you may have three well known artists with hundreds of songs and the next round, each of your artists may only have one song each!

Judging will be done by myself & my wife Pocketcage as well as a couple of secret judges we have in the wings when needed.

Those who do not get a song in in round 8 are out of the contest, and count towards the 20 that we drop before round 10 starts.

Make sure that if you are sick, having computer issues or have circumstances going on in your family you let us know by PM so we can help you make the round and also pray for your situation. Thanks!

Prizes include: 1st , 2nd & 3rd place banners for your page. Your winning entry will be nominated for the Hall Of Fame! (Vicgal who won our last contest has his in the Hall now after his win). We also are going to send the winner a SPECIAL PRIZE chosen just for them & their personality, this will be determined when we have our winner ;o)

REMEMBER YOUR THREE-LEAFED CLOVER! IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY USED IT!

Remember in round #4 everyone was given a three-leaf clover to be able to use throughout the rest of the contest, you may use you clover just once the rest of the contest, so use it wisely! It is used to switch your number from the one chosen to another number after they are posted & you see what they are. This can really come in handy if you are sick or something & want to use a pre-record from another of THAT WEEKS groups or do not have time that week to learn a new song! Once you have used the clover it will disappear from before your name so you will know it has been used.

Just so you all know, The artists were picked a while back. I am going thru each new round now before I post the new thread to see if the Lic. Monster ate any…
