So all of you went on your first or second date by now. Something happened at the last minute which resulted in a BREAK UP! That's right all couple broke up and everyone is single.

You need to sing 2 love songs to win your partner back (or a new one, who hears you from afar). This round is all about LOVE SONGS. Sing from any genre. NO DUETS! It's all you!!!!!!!

At the end of this round, you will vote for the opposite sex who you think did a great job vocally. Whoever get's the MOST votes will win the title of "SINGSNAP'S BEACHFLING ~2008 favorite Beach Stud" or "SINGSNAP'S BEACHFLING ~2008 favorite Beach Bunny".

Votes for Round 2 will be announced beginning of Round 4.

I have to admit.. I am very upset about this Jay.
This was suppose to have been a duet contest.. not based on a solo. If I won or lost, I wanted to win or loose "with my partner", it was the whole reason for me joining a duet contest and not one based on solo abilities. Very disappointed here =(

I completely understand where you are coming from but just so you and everyone knows this is the ONLY round that is solo. The rest from here until round 10 is all couples just different genre/themes.

I guess now would be a good time to explain my plans for the remainder of the contest. Each round you all vote for your top 5 couples (with the exception of this one...round 3). The couple who get's the most votes will be the "winner" of that round. I will also keep a number of couples together based on the voting & number of entries. (so for example 16 couples participated in the voting for round 2; 8 couples will stay together and the other 8 will be swapped around, etc) This will continue until round 8. At the beginning of round 9 the 3 couples who won the most rounds will sing in a sing off. Round 9 you'll have your fans (by then you'll have a fan base) vote for you. Once voting ends the couple with the least votes will be cut (from the sing off) and Round 10 will be the top 2 couples. After that round is over, you'll have your fans vote and the couple with the most votes will win the title "SINGSNAP'S BEACHFLING ~2008~" AS A COUPLE!

Also, for this type of contest I don't want to rush this contest so I'll make all rounds longer then 5+ days. (Plus, it's fun, I'd hate to see it go to be honest) Plus, giving the holidays, summer, and stuff going on I want to give enough time for songs to be submitted.

Hope this helps and changes your thinking a bit. I'll also take ANY suggestions/ideas/comments anyone has but this is by far NOT a solo contest...it's purely a couple/duet contest! This round was just an idea that I thought would be interesting and I wanted to reward someone something to make it funner.

Thank you. Well, there was a discussion in the past with someone here about me pairing up beach studs with beach studs and beach bunnies with beach bunnies but I decided to clear that idea. It would totally through off the remainder of the contest, and, be to weird for some. LOL

So can the last two weeks get any worst? Let's see Last Monday I went to a funeral (9 month old baby boy), today I went to a funeral (co-worker), and my mom just called me and told me my long distance step aunt passed away last night. I'm so emotionally drained it's not funny. :-(

This round doesn't have ANYTHING to the votes from Round 2. The results of Round 2 voting will be announced in the beginning of next round. (if your still with your partner, you got many votes, if you didn't, well, you didn't get many votes)

Also, I was thinking about announcing the round winners for rounds 1, 2, 4 at the beginning of round 5. Basically the first 'half' of the contest (round 5, 6, 7 is the other) What do you all think about this or do you want to be surprised in round 8?

However, with that said, I have no problem letting you know how many votes you got overall in each round if your interested. That would be done via private message though not here. This wouldn't really tell you if your the "winner" or not, just know where you stand.....
