Well, Bozo the clown was a name that I'd known every since I was probably 2. Bigger on television a LONG time ago of course, but still, a part of my childhood and a name heard just about everyday in the 60's. There just something sad when any part of our childhood upbringing dies... whether it's Raymond Burr, Carol O'Connor hit me very hard, Gilligan, Johnny Carson of course.. Captain Kangaroo, etc. Gomer Pyle's still around isn't he ? LOL

Plus, Homie the clown is certainly no tribute to the cool guys like Bozo !

I went to the Bozo show in Hollywood when I was a Brownie. He took questions and I asked how come his nose was so red and he dissed me. Lol. I never got over it. I wanted to be important enough to him to be worth a response. Ah well, RIP Bozo the Clown!

Anyone remember Chucko?

Clowns ARE scary!! But I did use to watch that show. The only part I liked was when the kids threw the ball in the buckets and the further they got, the bigger the prize. I always wished I could play and win somethin' big. ;)

See, This is my point. When these famous historians die, it makes us aware of our mortality. (or at least aware we aren't in elementary school anymore- especially when hearing stuff such as BOZO who ?)

This is why the world is in such a state of tragedy. Who ever heard of all these problems in the days of Black and White Television ?

He protects and he saves his friends under the way, that's where you'll find Diver Dan !

Incidently, Did DCF every take Tina away from her big brother "Hank" who was raising her ?

and how old is Honey West these days ?

Strangest thing, I was so young in the early 60's but I still can't recall whether or not Betty Boop wore a bra !

Oh yes.. He embarassed Ed Sullivan too with his emotions. He really liked Ed, but Ed wasn't quite so demonstrative ! I think being a child of the 30's made Ed sort've repress his feelings for Topo !

Everybody knows in the second life
we all come back sooner or later
as anything from a pussycat
to a man-eating alligator
but you all know my story
it's more faction, than it's fact
but believe it or not my mother dear-
decided to come back
as a car
she's my very own guiding star
A 1928 Porter
That's my mother dear
She guides me thru everything I do
and I'm so glad she's here

and those that live in the Northeast US, how can your forget

"We're doing our Christmas shopping, at Robert
Halls this year"

(this last sentence brings back three year old memories, also the response to this Robert Halls jingo when I was a VERY active volunteer in the Ebay Community Feedback room was the final clincher that caused me to quit volunteering to help other Ebayers, sure, it's one thing when site moderators don't understand the english language context, but in this case the "Pinks" gave me a warning for advertising on their bboards in the context of an "Old Reminiscing Jingo and Commericial" OT thread. Didn't seem to matter that Robert Halls Dept Store shutdown prior to making it into the Color Television era. I think they also castigated me for advertising and promoting "Mr Ed" in an old-timers chat area on the bboards:(
