werewoof wishes insomnia wasn't his strong suit....

This challenge is open to all. It runs until Tuesday July 15 at 6PM EDT. Its purpose is to give people a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved. Everyone who participates is a winner.

This week my co-host is UncleDave!

PLEASE READ THESE GUIDELINES AND THE THEME DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING

1. Post ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme. You may post a THIRD one on or after Thursday. You may post a FOURTH song on or after Saturday.

Your song can be a new song or one that was already recorded.

**2. For EACH song you post, listen to at least SIX other people’s songs and leave feedback. That means, if you post 2 songs you should listen to 12 others over the course of the 7 days of the challenge, a little less than 2 a day. If you post 3 songs, listen to 18 others and so on. You may, of course, listen to more if you choose.

Listening is the most important part of this challenge. Supporting and experiencing others is what it’s about.

3. We prefer to listen to the whole song. Try not to listen to the same people every day. Give new people a chance as well.

4. Please do not post glitter or large graphics as feedback or in the thread.

5. You don't need to post a song to listen but you need to listen if you post a song. It's best to post earlier in the challenge. But you can post up until the end. Just be aware that the closing hours of the challenge are better suited to listening than trying to squeeze in a last minute post.

6. Please avoid making multiple posts in a row by going back and editing your posts if you left something out. You have 30 minutes after you post to add to or correct your post by using the EDIT button.

Please visit our HOME PAGE for a great deal of useful information by clicking the link below. You will find answers to your many questions, including tips about how to post links and how to edit your posts, our FAQ, our chat room entrance, live recordings from our chat room and our birthday calendar.

Everyone's A Winner Challenge Home Page and Chat Room Entrance

New challenge themes are announced every Tuesday at 6PM EDT.

Everyone’s A Winner Chat Room
We have our own chat room where you can sing live or just listen to and chat with others in this community. It’s a lot of fun and a great crowd of friendly people. Come hang out with your new online friends.

We have regular, rather lengthy gatherings as follows -
Thursday beginning at 7PM EDT (4PM PDT/11P GMT)
Friday at 6PM EDT (3PM PDT/11PM GMT+1). Often there’s a late Friday one too.
Saturday around 8:30PM EDT (5:30PM PDT/12:30AM GMT)
Sunday afternoonwe occasionally get together on Sundays
EDT=Eastern Daylight Time PDT=Pacific Daylight Time GMT=Greenwich Mean Time

But you are welcome in there at any time as long as you follow the guidelines. If you want to organize a gathering at other times, you can invite others to meet you with PMs or by mentioning it in the challenge thread.

To get into the chat room, use the login at the bottom of the Home Page.
If you've not been to the chat room before or if you need to brush up on the guidelines and how it works, please read item # 11 before entering.

The theme of this challenge is

DUETS !!!!!!

Yes, Bruce’s little brainchild is one year old this week, so in honor of the first anniversary We thought we would re-visit the very first EAW Challenge Theme.

Do you have a duet that you are particularly proud of? Post it here. But let’s not stop at just duets…. There are an awful lot of songs that have three, four, or more of our beloved singsnappers pooling their talents. Feel free to post any of these that you have as well. You know what they say… “two’s company, three’s a party!”

Haven’t done a duet yet? Check out the duets page on the message board. This is where people post their half of a duet, looking for a partner to complete the song. Or just having trouble deciding on a song to sing? Try the Duets listing
This is a (supposedly) complete listing of all the songs on snap that are formatted as duets.

One thing we thought might be fun would be if some of you posted half of a duet here and other EAW folks could then duet it and re-post it.
Let’s see if we can get a few of these going as well…

And above all….

HAVE FUN!!!!

Hello folks :))) Great theme Mark and Dave> :)) not sure how much I will be around this week as I have to move from this apartment and internet cable will be gone after tommorrow. I can log on at my sister's who lives in the country, with a satellite link but it is very very slow and hard for me to sing or even get listen's in..but I am sure I can drop in just not like it's been the in the past. I have done so many duets with so many from this group, I love them all but can't post all. I do want to post a duet that was my first I had with Ally. I even made it to the SS HOF for what that was worth, also a first for me. It also got LIC'd and is gone now..but Ally graciously redid the song and added a new video to it, so I'd like to share this one with you.

This means i'm gonna have a bit of trouble paring it down to just one or two to post here...

But I'll see what I can come up with...

The very first person I ever duetted with on this site was Tracy. We've done like 14 or so duets together. I've lost track. Here's one that was Tracy's idea and though i wasn't very familiar with it when she asked, I'm glad I learned it as I enjoy the way it turned out.

Tracy and me
You're The Top

The person I've duetted with as much as Tracy is Janet. As with Tracy, it's hard to pick one. I would have picked Falling Slowly but she put that in the challenge before last. So I picked one that I think has been heard the least. And it has the added advantage of having Janet's name in the title.

Janet and me

It was a certain fella in here's um, Keep it... anyway, I know we said the challenge before last for the personal Hall of Fame, watch out for expiring nominations, think Adam mentioned it? So, can I make a plea for you to have another check - not for me... I mean others you might have nominated as they will disappear and I think you agree with me that we nominated them in the first place because they deserve to be where they are yes? Thanks.

Oh man, I checked... this is gonna be hard and you might get quite a few from me...

Well to start with two hijacks, yeah the rest will probably be highjacks too! :D

Who knows I might hijack another before the week is out knowing me ...

1) BRUCE ... yeah, I hijack him a lot LOL... I've enjoyed every single harmony we've done together, and yeah, thank you everyone for your visits to our latest with Kjell and Frank.

I'm including this as it really is my most favourite Dean Martin song ever, and I still sigh listening LOL, darn that sounds vain doesn't it, oh well. I think I meant Bruce sang it rather well. Deary me.

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime

2) Is another song by a favourite top singer/er songwriter Bob Dylan and this time with Tim Wright, he's fantastic on this hehehe.

Knockin' On Heavens Door I think I was displaying a little angsty no? Heh.

Okay I will be putting more in, can't resist.

I'm gonna have to look for some folk to play my flute with. I have tons of songs I have done where I have added my flute to others.

But for me
the fun of the challenge is not in posting stuff I've already done
but in recording new stuff.

So I may post previous recordings
but for now I'm gonna see if I can do something new.

I redirected this song from March 30 to June 30, after I received a PM for Alan's other half that he passed away from lung cancer, June 29. So, in memory of alan4444, I'm posting this song. He was so much fun, and we sang several duets together. What a depth of voice he had!

I just came from a Memorial Service held on PalTalk for him...quite a great group of people, where we played his songs and duets. He also loved Gospel, and his song from SingSnap was played at his funeral.
