HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Laughing at the three of us (Oldiebutgoodie, Cerebraljam and myself)trying to figure out where we are. Can you tell we're all middle-aged or older? LOL.

I've listened to almost every song now. Got about five or so more and then I'm up to speed. But the sun is beckoning me. I'm going to make myself a latte, and head outside for some rays.

CHALLENGE UPDATE - Because Janet will be hosting and she lives in the UK, she will be posting tonight's challenge a wee bit earlier. The current challenge will continue until 8PM EDT as planned but, you'll be able to get an early start on the next one too. She will post it between 6 and 7pm EDT

We're going to do something special for the upcoming Labor Day week. I would love it if you all can participate.

Meanwhile I am having internet issues and that's why you may not see a lot of me until later.

Sorry gang. I get like 5 minutes on and then get bumped off. It's a local DSL problem. I have loved everything I've heard here. Sorry I couldn't listen much in the last 12 hours because of the problems I'm having. Although the new challenge has been posted THIS ONE CONTINUES UNTIL 8PM EDT.

I loved this challenge and er, sorry to those of you that I haven't yet got round to hearing :D I um, was doing really well up until yesterday morning I think it was when there was a sudden splurge of activity overnight... I'm not complaining it's been fantastic, and thanks everyone and Tracy for yet another wonderful time of listening and singing.

Thanks Tracy for another great challenge. Sorry my DSL was so much trouble. I've never had those problems before. But they don't seem to be letting up. I've been in touch with the company and they are "working on it." So if I missed you in this challenge, please accept my apologies. I did hear most of you before the troubles started. If there's something I missed that you'd really like me to hear, feel free to PM the link to me. And thanks to all of you who participated. We have an awesome group of people here.

A New Winner Challenge starts every Sun and Tue at 8PM EDT and every Friday at 3PM EDT. The challenge is open to all.

The purpose of these challenges is to give people a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved and no "winners" are announced. Everyone who participates is a winner. The rules are simple.

1. Post ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme (one is preferred but two are ok). If you have to, you may post a third and final one on the second day of the challenge. You may post a new song or one that was already recorded. You do not have to post a song to participate.

**2. For EACH song you post, listen to at least THREE other people’s songs during EACH day of the challenge. That means, if you post 2 songs you should listen to 6 others each day (12 total). Listen to as many as you wish but make sure you listen to at least three each day per song you post.

Listening is the most important part of this challenge. Supporting and experiencing others is what it’s about.

3. We prefer that you listen to the whole song rather than listening to 10 seconds so there's no need to try to listen to everyone. Try not to listen to the same people every day. Give new people a chance as well. The quality here is so good, you may find yourself doing more listening than you expected.

4. Although you may choose to post a tiny graphic with your comments, we ask that you do not post large glittery graphics as feedback.

5. Come back to the current challenge thread and write about your experiences. Mention songs you heard or anything else that strikes you, suggestions, etc., or not. Completely up to you. And please go back each day and listen to others. That's the most important part of this.

6. You don't need to post a song to listen but you need to listen if you post a song. It's best to post earlier in the challenge. But you can post up until the end. Just be aware that the closing hours of the challenge are better suited to listening than trying to squeeze in a last minute post.

The theme of this challenge was

‘The Three Bs.’ No, we’re not talking Bach, Beethoven and Brahms here, it’s The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Bee Gees!!

This one couldn’t be much simpler—songs by any of those 3 groups, but ONLY those 3 groups! There are LOTS of their songs here, but greedy girl that I am, I want many more that they don’t have. God only knows why “God Only Knows” isn’t here. Oh, well, let’s think about what we DO have. Please only do songs by the groups, we’ll save their solo stuff for later! However, you can do a cover of one of their (Beach Boys, Beatles, Bee Gees) songs by someone else, which gives you more options. And if you have a creative way of getting a song that’s not included on Snap in here, that’d be welcome, too!

* I’m going to REALLY request/suggest that you only do one song for this challenge – 2 tops. Since it’s a bit limited, that will help cut down on the duplications that we’re bound to have.
