This challenge is open to all. It runs until Tuesday Aug. 28 at 8PM EDT. Its purpose is to give people a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved. Everyone who participates is a winner. New challenge themes are announced by 3PM EDT Friday and 8pm Sunday and Tuesday.
PLEASE READ THESE RULES AND THE THEME DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING
1. *Post ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme (one is preferred but two are ok). If you have to, you may post a third and final one on the second day of the challenge. You may post a new song or one that was already recorded. You do not have to post a song to participate.
**2. For EACH song you post, listen to at least THREE other people’s songs during EACH day of the challenge and leave feedback. That means, if you post 2 songs you should listen to 6 others each day (12 total). Listen to as many as you wish but make sure you listen to at least three each day per song you post and leave feedback.
Listening is the most important part of this challenge. Supporting and experiencing others is what it’s about.
3. We prefer that you listen to the whole song rather than listening to 10 seconds so there's no need to try to listen to everyone. Try not to listen to the same people every day. Give new people a chance as well. The quality here is so good, you may find yourself doing more listening than you expected.
4. Although you may choose to post a tiny graphic with your comments, we ask that you do not post large glittery graphics as feedback.
5. Come back to the current challenge thread and write about your experiences. Mention songs you heard or anything else that strikes you, suggestions, etc., or not. Completely up to you. And please go back each day and listen to others. That's the most important part of this.
6. You don't need to post a song to listen but you need to listen if you post a song. It's best to post earlier in the challenge. But you can post up until the end. Just be aware that the closing hours of the challenge are better suited to listening than trying to squeeze in a last minute post.
7. You can find helpful information in the Challenge FAQ (how to post links, quote others, change colors and more) http://www.singsnap.com/snap/forum/topic/a92eb56 -------------------------------------------------------------
Today’s theme is ‘The Three Bs.’ No, we’re not talking Bach, Beethoven and Brahms here, it’s The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Bee Gees!!
This one couldn’t be much simpler—songs by any of those 3 groups, but ONLY those 3 groups! There are LOTS of their songs here, but greedy girl that I am, I want many more that they don’t have. God only knows why “God Only Knows” isn’t here. Oh, well, let’s think about what we DO have. Please only do songs by the groups, we’ll save their solo stuff for later! However, you can do a cover of one of their (Beach Boys, Beatles, Bee Gees) songs by someone else, which gives you more options. And if you have a creative way of getting a song that’s not included on Snap in here, that’d be welcome, too!
* I’m going to REALLY request/suggest that you only do one song for this challenge – 2 tops. Since it’s a bit limited, that will help cut down on the duplications that we’re bound to have.
walkingstick got a bit of food poisoning last night .... not fun at all.
I appreciate the sentiment behind one song only, but I'm afraid that with as juicy a selection of wonderful songs to choose from, it's going to be very hard to do only one. I don't know if I even want to restrain myself. I can stop at 2 but 1? I don't know Tracy. That's a tall order.

As it is its going to be hard to choose just two.
I'm not the police, and I don't carry a pointed stick--no punishments or chastising will be doled out! :) I may wind up ignoring my own request! I'm trying, though.

Tracy, a wonderful choice for a theme. Yet another chance to test the top end of my vocal range (ugh). It was tough to choose just one song, but I think this one nudges out Fun, Fun, Fun which is elsewhere on my page. So here's mine...
I also support Tracy's request that we each submit only one song. I've been getting concerned that as we add more folks to these Challenges we will become unable to listen to everyone. I vote with Tracy for quality over quantity!

I tried out so many songs before I decided on this one. It's one that I've always loved for its edginess, and also because it's a song that's easy to make your own and have fun with.
OMG! WravensWing "I Get Around" may be my favorite version of that song I've heard since, well, since I don't know when. OK. Gotta get back to listening. So much good stuff here.

Okay, so here's a thought. How about you can do two songs, and then you can do a third song only if one of the three songs is an ambush duet of one of the other songs posted on this thread?

Also, back to the one song only, we don't have to listen to all of everyone's songs. I usually go through everyone's first songs first, and then work my way through the seconds if I have time and so choose to.
These challenges are such fun and I listen to many more people than required to and enjoy that aspect, but being limited to just one song makes it feel like less fun to me. If people don't want to listen to people's second songs that's fine, but I'm here for the joy of singing as well as listening.
Whatever the case, this is a great theme Tracy! Thanks!
