:-) Could be a nice thread this :D I'll have a look, depends what you want to see... I inherited a lot of family photos who I haven't a clue who they are!
Our old maroon woodie (that's REAL wood) outside our brand new house in Anaheim 1954. The house cost $14,000. 4 bedroom! It's about 3 miles from Disneyland, which opened the year following this photo I believe...or close.
yeah me too , got an old photo of my grandmother my dad's mum but I don't think he's gonna let me take it out of the frame it's really old i'll have to look and see what i got in my family photos don't think I have any that old looking except my grandma

Cool! The older men in this pic are my great and great great grandfathers. The younger man is my grandma's brother. :o)
my gg grandpa and his wife's wedding day photo - Fall 1865
he'd been away from home for four years, fighting in the Civil War, just before this photo was taken. Both of his brothers died in the war. :-(
Lucky me, right? :-)
p.s. I have his discharge metal (and it still has the ribbon on it) oh - and the frame that photo was in. :-)
Cool Steven...would love to see that metal. I have searched high and low for some of my family metals and havn't found any although I know they exist. I did find all of my Great Grandpa Darius's Civil war info and records, and bought a book on the Civil war that told me his commanders/outing/musterings and all that stuff. You'd be amazed at what you can find.
u can get em from the gov (for those that have an interest) - it's real cheap, but they are slowwwwwwwwwww!
suprised? hehe
something i find so hard to believe, is that one can 'buy' a Civil War medal for almost nothing!
the poor guy that walked from WV to Florida and back, has no family left to remember him for what he did, so his medal goes for ten bucks. i don't buy em. :-(

Awww....that's very touching. Definitely makes you think.
The house my Grandpa Floyd built when my mom was about 4...so that's 1924. She and my dad lived in it later, and 5 daughters were conceived there. We moved out when I was 4. The house still stands.
LaNell 's havin' fun...in the winter snapolympics contest..weeeeeee!! :)
Cool old pics! I have loads of them, at home, but my scanner doesn't work with my newer computer & my old computer doesn't work well enough to use...darn it! lol
I have a ton of interesting documents, as well, since my hobby(addiction..he..he) used to be genealogy. I found it fascinating!
