Welcome To Challenge For All Stars...Where Everyone Who Sings Is A Star...

At the beginning of each challenge, the host will post a theme... You are asked to sing a song based on that theme... Plus there might be a Mini-Challenge and/or Duet Challenge..
This is NOT a Contest. It is simply a Challenge to sing a song based on a specific theme.
Depending on the wishes of the host, you might be asked to record a fresh track or perhaps post one from your archives...
Once you have recorded your song, just come and post the link on the board...
Requirement is that you LISTEN TO AND POST A COMMENT ON AT LEAST * THREE * SONGS OF YOUR FELLOW POSTERS... COMMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL.... THIS IS WHAT TRULY DETERMINES A SUCCESSFUL CHALLENGE
The object of this challenge is to share songs and develop friendships.
JUST A REMINDER...Even though we are adults who sing and post on this board.. We do need to remember that we need to adhere to Sing Snap's Forum Rules... So please keep that in mind, especially when posting pictures...
http://www.singsnap.com/snap/forum/topic/a627922
Challenge for All Stars would like to clarify a few points regarding the Challenge, its Hosts, and the Themes posted by the Hosts. DUTIES OF THE HOST: The duties of the Host are to develop a Theme for the day's Challenge, to listen to and bookmark the songs posted to that day's Challenge, and to MODERATE the BOARD for anything that would go AGAINST the FORUM BOARD RULES as stated by SINGSNAP. The DUTIES OF THE HOST DO NOT include moderating any DISPUTES that may occur between adults who visit the challenge. We would hope that Challenge members remember that they are Adults and CONDUCT themselves as such. We back up our Hosts 100 percent as to the Themes they post to the board. We would also hope that visitors to our Challenge respect the hard work that our VOLUNTEER Hosts put in for this Challenge. THANK YOU....SING ON

I AM A TRUCKER GIRL
I am a trucker girl,
it was always what I wanted to be.
My Barbie dolls drove Tonka trucks
and a truck is home to me.
Other little girls wanted to be teachers and such, all I ever wanted to do, you could do with a clutch.
When I was child, and would be asked, “what will you be?”
I was quick to answer a “Trucker Girl”,
and my family would laugh at me, in 1963.
Going up the Grapevine I’d see truck driver’s waving to me, I knew then,
as I do now, A Trucker Girl is what was calling me.
A trucker girl’s living is very unique, you see places and people from all walks of life, things that are pleasant, and some things that aren’t nice.
But I wouldn’t change it for any other way of living,
for I love what my travels have given.
I am blessed with family who understands my need to roam, and how I’m thankful for today’s cell phones.
No more quarters or collect calls to tell them I soon will be home.
I’ve sat out snowstorms for several days,
and blistering heat when the AC went astray.
Phoenix in summer, or Christmas in Maine
You soon won’t forget, all these days on the road, and time in the seat.
I know I was a trucker girl that I was born to be.
If your little girl has dreams of a truck, give her your love, and wish her luck.
Without a tear in your eye, wave her goodbye.
Know in your heart, she is following hers.
Say a prayer for her safety as she shifts gears.
Your little girl is happy with pedals at her feet.
You may not understand her chosen career,
and you might wish she was always near.
A trucker girl she is proud to be.
Look at her face, her eyes will light up
when she is talking of her travels or truck.
So mommy’s and daddy’s, make sure you are aware. I might be your little girl driving out there.

Dispatchers In Heaven?
An old trucker that died and went to heaven was standing at the pearly gates with Saint Peter and there sat the prettiest fleet of Petes that he had ever seen. He asked how do you get to drive one of them petes?

Saint Peter says we dont run them we get all kinds of drivers but we haven't got the first dispatcher.

Dear God above bless this truck I drive
and help me keep someone alive
Be my mortal sight this day
on the street where little children play
Bless my helper fast asleep when the night is long
and keep my cargo safe and sound
through the hours big and round
make my judgment sound as steel
and be my hands upon the wheel
Bless the traveler going past
and teach them not to go so fast
Give me strength for every trip
so I may care for what they ship
And make me mindful every mile
that life is just a little while....
Amen
