Welcome to Round 1 of the Romance Club “Duet Square Dance” Challenge!
Square Dance Partners for Round 1 are:

All About Round 1:
1. Sing any song from SingSnap’s catalogue (or an original piece) that has been recently recorded with your partner.
2. Deadline is midnight, July 10th (but have your song in earlier if you can … we all want hear it!)
3. Use any means necessary to make your duet a hit!
4. When submitting your song, be sure to include the following information:
- both partner’s names
- the song title
- the link to your duet
5. After Round 1, participants will be drawn two-by-two to determine the partners for Rounds 3 & 4. A new challenge board will be created for each round.
6. All square dancers are required to “Scoot Back”, “Walk and Dodge” and “DoSaDo” … in other words, listen to and comment on all other duets.
Trophies:
A “Mystery Judge” will listen to all duets and award the following trophies:
- Most Romantic Duet
- Most Original Duet Arrangement
- Amazing Harmony
- Fantastic Blend
- Craziest Duet

General information about the Duet Square Dance Challenge:
****************************************************************************************
Who is eligible to join?
- “Romance Club Members” that love singing duets, are willing to find themselves a partner (must also be a Romance Club Member but does not have to be of the opposite sex), and are willing to make a commitment to July 24th.
Duet Square Dance Steps:
- There will be 3 rounds in total.
- You will have 6 days to record and submit each duet.
- Round 1 is with your chosen “start-up partner” and can be a song of your choice as long as it is a recent recording and is part of SingSnaps catalogue or an original piece.
- Following each round the Square Dance Caller (JCD) will draw participants names from a paper bag two-by-two to determine the partners for the next round.
- Each round will have it’s own Challenge Board where duets are to be submitted. The final message on each Challenge Board will indicate your new “Square Dance Partner” and will direct you to the next rounds challenge board. (e.g.: Romance Club “Duet Square Dance” Round 2)
- Specific themes will be assigned to Rounds 2 & 3. These “Dance Formations” are a surprise! But don’t worry, there will be plenty of songs choices!
- All square dancers are required to “Scoot Back”, “Walk and Dodge” and “DoSaDo” … in other words, listen to and comment on all other duets.

Round 1: Saturday, July 5 (Duet due Thur., July 10th and new partners announced Fri., July 11th)
Round 2: Saturday, July 12 (Duet due Thur., July 17th and new partners announced Fri., July 18th)
Round 3: Saturday, July 19 (Duet due Thur., July 24th)

I was out all day, in an area that didn't have internet connection (how can one exist like that?), and went and left my Mac there. Of course, my Mac has all of my files on it!
Hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow and be up and running.
