Poppy ~ ss romantic arrives nassau, bahamas at 0800 hours tues feb09! ~This was our most favourite beach, Pulau Pangkor in Malaysia. The sands were white as you can see and it was close to our favourite hotel restaurantl. Nearby is the legendary Monkey mountain the refuge for wild monkeys. You could hear the din. As you can see our "home" the MS Song of Flower once with Radisson Seven Seas Cruises and now in pasture, is anchored. We were with her for seven well-cruised years! Pictured with me were my best friends on board, Mr. & Mrs. Marc and Joanne Sorrentino, popular UK magicians and stage personalities. Marc even does his mime of Pagliacci! I miss them and I miss those times very much. Marc and Joanne never sat still, they took in everything around them. Their sense of humour was incomparable and their magic act uniquely their own! Marc even produced a Christmas magic show for all of us entertainers onboard. It was fun to get a glimpse of what it was like to be in a magic act! Guess who was the shortest in our group?

Poppy ~ ss romantic arrives nassau, bahamas at 0800 hours tues feb09! ~I was a little miffed when Steve woke me up very early the morning after a long evening of shows and passenger entertaining. I was grumbling as I went out on deck half asleep until I saw the canal. Then I understood why it was important that I saw and experienced our transit. Thanks so much honey!
The Corinth Canal is a junction of international sea transport and serves ships coming from the Western Mediterranean and Adriatic en route to Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea ports and vice versa.
The canal intersects the Isthmus of Corinth and has a lenght of 6.343m. The minimum width of the canal at sea level is 24.6m and bottom width of 21m at 8m depth

The Great Wall of China. Taken by my Photographer pal Gavin when our ship Royal Viking Star cruised China and docked in Xingang. Xingang is about three hours from Beijing. Photo was taken in 1988. If I could I'd go back there at a drop of a hat and this time take everything in, leisurely. What a privelege that would be!

This photo was taken during our trip to Bohol, Philippines last year...This is a hanging bridge just made up of rope and wood... a bit scary but worth a try.

Borrowing this from Iceberg photo © Raldi Somers, licensed from featurepics. I was in Antarctica twice when my wife worked with the ship Hanseatic based in Germany. I must have taken hundreds of Iceberg photos. People easily finish 20 rolls of film per person on those cruises! The view is so magnificent wherever your eyes lead you!

Here is pics from my camping trip. We are going back this evening. We came home this am to get some things taken care of and so that I could get some sleep. It was fun except for not having a blanket to cover up with and it getting chilly last night!
