HOPELESS ROMANTICS

Greetings, hopeless romantics! When I started "Romance Club" last March, I had no idea the club would zoom to popularity as it did. As it became more popular, I noticed that the "Romance" theme had changed. It could not be helped as the Romance Club message board metamorphosed into what one could call a "bulletin board". So, for the sake of our hopeless romantics (including myself), who had lost their place for awhile in the Romance Club message board, I am opening yet another thread, but this time this one is exclusive only to hopeless romantics. I will respectfully request that only the real romantics would post here on this board.

On this thread, we will focus our attention on romantic songs, prose, poetry and discussions and chats devoted to romance and love. When you want something else, we have many other threads you can choose from. There will be no "spamming" here, no contests, no challenges, nothing that is stressful. Here it will be about hearts, stars, moonlight serenades, slow dancing, kisses, and so on and so forth.

So this age old question will always arise once we have a nook for hopeless romantics... "what is romance?"

Romance cannot be easily defined... it is experienced. It is a feeling of deep attachment and deep affection that goes beyond all known human bonds. One who has never felt romantic will never understand about romantic feelings. If you have experienced romantic love in your life, you are indeed lucky, fortunate and blessed.

In romantic love, a person feels inspired. In love nothing looks impossible. Love motivates one to great heights. To please one's romantic love, a lover can do anything. Some romantic lovers don't even care for their life in love. One wants to look good in one's lover's eyes and wants to win the love for ever. That motivates the romantic lovers.

Romance is an emotion of the heart, and it gives a new outlook to life. It makes one feel good. It makes one feel in heaven. a person in romance needs nothing more than his/her beloved. That is romance! When you look at the clouds flying across the sky, when you enjoy the setting sun, when you marvel at the beauty of the snow topped mountain peaks, you feel that no sight can better these beautiful scenes. Take a look at the faces of a pair in deep romantic love with each other and you will say - i was wrong. Romance is beautiful!

There will be no moderators on this thread except us hopeless romantics.

There will be no spamming, no announcements, no promotions of any kind.

Anything that could amount to negativity can be taken care of with private messaging.

There will be nothing else in this thread that is not about love, romance, relationships, beautiful graphic designs, prose and poetry, romantic stories, romantic songs, and beautiful friendships... and though we could be blamed or labelled as the people who cling to utopian illusions, it is what we have chosen - to come to a place in our online community where we can be happy.

Romance Club for the hopeless romantics. To be a member, you have to be a hopeless romantic, needless to say, and you have to sing one romantic song each week. Discussions about romantic songs, singing, relationships, advice, tips and tricks in relationships are very welcome here! Most of all, we romantics want to stick together! LONG LIVE ROMANCE!!!!!!!

Im happy to be a member of this club. I always consider myself hopeless romantic. I did a love song last night, and I have to share a poem which I memorized since high school.

One of my favorite movies is "What dreams may come" with Robin Williams -- A story of soul mates --he is willing to risk heaven to retreive her from hell...... proves the eternity of love against the tragedies of life....... I think this movie is a romantics must..... definitely not a downer

I some times feel like I'm in the movie Ladyhawk All you lovely birds are getting up stretching you wings and here I am beginning to settle in for the night luckly I'm not a lone wolf in a lonely den...... here's a paragraph from a short story I wrote .........

That's when I saw her smiling face stuck between the notes and lists of things to do. For one moment, just one moment I dropped my guard and I had to decide again, go forwards or tumble backwards. Well I've been off dancing in the clouds of thought as romantics are want to do from time to time......Working on a piece of poetry -- thought I should try and finish it before winter is over .....

Drizzling rain

With eyes held down the sidewalk crowd
Surrounded him like a bobbing black shroud
As one breathing beast they gave a sigh
Lifting his head he gazed at winter's sky

His hair wet from the drizzling rain
He stared at his feet caught in the game
Rainbow colors reflected at his feet
Reds, greens and yellows flashing on the street

He laughed aloud and giving a shout
Stood stock still in the shuffling crowd
Now seeing the colors from different lights
His senses awakened to new delights

The crowd parted feeling his difference
