Amazing...you are truly Extraordinary Snappers all of you!!!
OK...time to dust off those disco balls, to get out the glam rock makeup, to relive the last vestiges of hippy love, to join together & form supergroups & if at all possible to move to Manchester & find John Simm & Philip Glennister
We're back in the 1970s...the swinging 60s were over, the moon had been landed on, colour tv was all the rage & music was about to change forever, experimenting with many new & exciting styles...it started with the New Seekers, gave us Bowie, Queen, Abba, Grease, the Police, Simon & Garfunkel, Blondie, Tina Turner, the Sex Pistols, Donna Summer, Stevie Wonder, Wings, Gary Glitter, Marc Bolan...& ended with the Buggles & the birth of electropop. & from this cornucopeia of delights you can pick ANYTHING, providing it was recorded or released between Jan 1st 1970 & Dec 31st 1979 (the last songs of 1969 will count as long as they were in the charts in 1970)...there should be something for everyone here, so choose wisely, bring your best to the round...& impress the hell out of your judges!!

The theme is comedy...this can be an already funny song (Weird Al Yankovic, etc) or a song made funny by you, either by doing funny voices, hilarious lyrics, or anything within the song which made it side-splittingly funny. Be warned, taking the easy option of an already funny song is likely to score lower than something you have done your own thang with!! (for League 1 I will be scoring you on comedy value & creativity as well as the usual categories)

"Lady Marmalade" is a 1974 song recorded by Labelle for CBS Records' Epic label, becoming a number-one hit the next year. An early disco hit, the song is most famous for its sexually suggestive chorus of "voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)?"
The song held the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the United States for one week, from March 23 to March 29, 1975, replacing "My Eyes Adored You" by The Four Seasons and replaced by "Lovin' You" by Minnie Riperton. Hehe, Lovin' You by Minnie Ripperton was my 2nd choice but I wanted something danceable, since the 70's was all about Disco lol.
