Everyone's A Winner Rock&Roll HOF Challenge/Showcase Thingy LXIX
This challenge is open to all. It runs until Tuesday May 20th at 6PM EDT. Its purpose is to give people a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved. Everyone who participates is a winner.
This week, I’ll be co-hosting with ALLY!
PLEASE READ THESE GUIDELINES AND THE THEME DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING
1. Post ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme. You may post a THIRD one on or after Thursday. You may post a FOURTH song on or after Saturday.
Your song can be a new song or one that was already recorded.
**2. For EACH song you post, listen to at least SIX other people’s songs and leave feedback. That means, if you post 2 songs you should listen to 12 others over the course of the 7 days of the challenge, a little less than 2 a day. If you post 3 songs, listen to 18 others and so on. You may, of course, listen to more if you choose.
Listening is the most important part of this challenge. Supporting and experiencing others is what it’s about.
3. We prefer to listen to the whole song. Try not to listen to the same people every day. Give new people a chance as well.
4. Please do not post glitter or large graphics as feedback or in the thread.
5. You don't need to post a song to listen but you need to listen if you post a song. It's best to post earlier in the challenge. But you can post up until the end. Just be aware that the closing hours of the challenge are better suited to listening than trying to squeeze in a last minute post.
6. Try to avoid making multiple posts in a row by going back and editing your posts if you left something out. You have 30 minutes after you post to add to or correct your post by hitting the EDIT button.
Please visit our HOME PAGE for a great deal of useful information by clicking the link below. You will find answers to your many questions, including tips about how to post links and how to edit your posts, our FAQ, our chat room entrance, live recordings from our chat room and our birthday calendar.
New challenge themes are announced every Tuesday at 6PM EDT.
Everyone’s A Winner Chat Room We have our own chat room where you can sing live or just listen to and chat with others in this community. It’s a lot of fun and a great crowd of friendly people. Come hang out with your new online friends.
We have regular, rather lengthy gatherings as follows - Thursday beginning at 7PM EDT (4PM PDT/11P GMT) Friday at 6PM EDT (3PM PDT/10PM GMT) and at 11 or 12M EST (8 or 9PM PDT/4 or 4AM GMT) Saturday around 8:30PM EDT (5:30PM PDT/12:30AM GMT) Sunday afternoon starting at 1PM EDT (10AM PDT/5PM GMT) EDT=Eastern Daylight Time PDT=Pacific Daylight Time GMT=Greenwich Mean Time
But you are welcome in there at any time as long as you follow the guidelines. If you want to organize a gathering at other times, you can invite others to meet you with PMs or by mentioning it in the challenge thread.
To get into the chat room, use the login at the bottom of the HOME PAGE (see link above). If you've not been to the chat room before or if you need to brush up on the guidelines and how it works, please read item # 11 before entering.

They came to the Hall of Fame in 1995. "Sadly, the Allman Brothers Band was dealt a catastrophic blow when Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle crash in Macon, Georgia, on October 29, 1971. A year later, on November 11, 1972, bassist Berry Oakley died under eerily similar circumstances only a few blocks from where Duane’s accident had occurred. " I just came from staying in that area...have family about 15 minutes from Macon, GA.
TracyB wishes she hadn't eaten the fried food. it was pretty good, tho'
I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan; I probably would've been had Syd Barrett stayed with the band and had not been so, um, Syd (and maybe I would've appreciated them more had I had more extracurricular activities)? I became familiar with this song because of the Wondermints cover (I LOVE the Wondermints). This is a Syd song, and probably didn't help Pink Floyd get in the Hall of Fame, but here's...
Welcome to another week where Everyone's A Winner :-D Hello Mike & Ally! ... and CONGRATULATIONSRACHEL!!!!
I've started the new playlist and will keep it updated as I can; last weeks is also completed...details below.
First I want to thank Bruce for running a great challenge last week, and everyone for the warm responses to my Ave Maria, which I've so far repaid in miserly fashion. Last week and this one are absolutely crazy with rehearsals and concerts, leaving me little time at home and usually burnt out on music when I arrive. I have an audition tomorrow but will hope to catch up on my listens after that!
************************************************
For each week's EAW installment I try to maintain a playlist of all the songs submitted under the theme.
You can always find the most current one at my playlist page:
All of the past ones are there as well...so, in the early hours of a Challenge when there isn't much to listen to yet, you're welcome to go back and catch a few of the late entries from the preceding week. The last few pages often don't get much exposure.
Please note that under current SS policy, playlists unfortunately are accessible only to Gold members.
thank you Mike for help for pic .............thank you my friend...............but you will have to expl me that ...now will go to sleep and tomorow will ROCKKKK lol
Oooo, sorry I am a wee bitty late, I was in the important process of melting chocolate, something you just can't leave Mmmmmm. Um. Yeah, can't sing right now or you'll see the chocolate on the end of my nose from sticking it in the bowl heheh.
Okay, for now, cos I'm feeling lazy LOL, this was actually posted a couple of challenges ago but a few folk here haven't seen it so I'll post it again... I actually love this one and didn't have to edit my trivia as it was exactly what we are looking for here :D
For those of you that did hear it, I'm sorry, I'll give you something new when I can decide out of all those delicious possibilities what I want to do :D
vvv Whoa! Sorry to hear this Jubi... on my way ;-)
Well, it seems Jubi is in need of some ratings revival.
I just went by and uprated all the songs on your first page Jubi. Hopefully, some others here will stop by and help counteract your rater hater. And all your songs sound great so obviously whoever keeps downrating those songs has issues.

Katia, there is a link at the top of page 1 that list's all the singers in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame,, anyone listed there, means there songs are welcome here! Led Zeplin was inducted in 1995, so any of his songs are good...sing away girl!!
Hello everyone :) My sister and I, Justcuz (Laura), lost our Grandmother this past Friday. We were blessed to have her for a good long time :) and we know she's dancing with the angels.
I just wanted to apologize for posting a song, and running out quickly without listening a few challenges back. I promise I'll be back for the next challenge, and listen to all of you fine folks :)
hi everyone, the trucks been runnin so i aint been singing lol, just one to put up, he's just an amazing musician all around. Sir Elton John inducted in 1994
Gloriha needs a funny status line about her birthday on sept. 12.
I'm not ignoring the posts above, just on for a bit; I will have more time to read tomorrow. Hubby and I are rearranging the house to move the computer and mixer into another room so I won't feel like I'm bothering anyone and I can record in peace. Unfortunately, all we've done so far is make a bigger mess!
I'm going to post a pre-record, but I'm excited about this challenge; I have my 'real' entry already in mind and did a few practices.
For now, this is I Only Want to Be With You by Dusty Springfield. The beginning phrase is flat, so close your ears, please :>

Gloriha needs a funny status line about her birthday on sept. 12.I'm not ignoring the posts above, just on for a bit; I will have more time to read tomorrow.

Dusty Springfield was inducted in 1999 under the category performer. She was born 4/16/39, and died 3/2/99.
