The easiest way to fix this is to go to the chat room and ask the admin for a sound check. That way it can be done live.

i can hardly hear any music and loud, distorted humming. does this need sound check too or maybe new mike?

Same problem voice no music.. i dont have this problem at my space.. at sims i have lag ... wish this site would make our sound card compatable..

1. For vista, right click speaker task bar located at the bottom right corner next to the clock.
2. left click recording device.
3. right click stereo mix or u hear
4. left click set as default device
5. left click ok and your done.

If you're having trouble recording your voice and the music ...try this! Right click on the volume control
in the tray(bottom right corner of monitor). Then select surround mixer. When the graphics for the mixer are displayed look at the bar all the way to the right. Click on the icon at the top of the bar and select "what u hear". Then go to the bar immediately to the left and click on the icon at the top and select microphone. After this is done make sure the speaker icons at the bottom of all the bars are not muted (they should be blue...with no red x's on them). I had to adjust the levels a bit , but this worked for me. Remember this is for CREATIVE sound cards!!
