Jesus of Nazareth (7–2 BC/BCE to 26–36 AD/CE),[2][3] also known as Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity and is revered by most Christians as the incarnation of God. Muslims consider Jesus a prophet, and several other religions also consider him an important figure.

The name "Jesus" is an Anglicization of the Greek ?????? (I?sous), itself a Hellenization of the Hebrew ????? (Yehoshua) or Hebrew-Aramaic ???? (Yeshua), meaning "YHWH rescues". "Christ" is a title derived from the Greek ??????? (Christós), meaning the "Anointed One," which corresponds to the Hebrew-derived "Messiah".[4]

The main sources of information regarding Jesus' life and teachings are the gospels. Most scholars in the fields of history and biblical studies agree that Jesus was a Galilean Jew, was regarded as a teacher and healer, was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on orders of Roman Governor Pontius Pilate, on the charge of sedition against the Roman Empire.[5][6] Most critical scholars believe that ancient texts on Jesus' life are at least partially accurate.[7][8]

Christian views of Jesus (see also Christology) center on the belief that Jesus is divine, is the Messiah whose coming was prophesied in the Old Testament, and that he was resurrected after his crucifixion. Christians predominantly believe that Jesus is the "Son of God" (generally meaning that he is God the Son, the second person in the Trinity), who came to provide salvation and reconciliation with God. Other Christian beliefs include Jesus' virgin birth, performance of miracles, ascension into Heaven, and future Second Coming. While the doctrine of the Trinity is widely accepted by Christians, a small minority instead hold various nontrinitarian beliefs concerning the divinity of Jesus.[9]

for me:
I often feel that I was death inside, because of all the destinys that I live up so far. I often pray to god to let me live further and give me happiness in life. I feel so apreciated when I feel that Jesus helped me when I was in the most difficultest moment. Sometimes we thought the life is shut down and you see a black future in front of you, but if you look back to the days when Jesus was accussed by the people in rome, you can understand how much he suffered for us. Its sad that he is not physically here anymore but I believe that he will always be in my life.....(by camberie)
