!!THE FINALS!!
Hey everyone.... once again, all of you have done so fantastic. Want to just reach out and touch you so maybe some of that talent will rub off on us! Not to sound like a broken record, but even the people we had to cut were right up there. That said (and I'm actually a little teary-eyed at this point) here are our finalists!

For this round choose a song from either the BLUES or R&B/Soul genre.
By now, you all know the basic rules........ but we do want to say this...... we chose these genres for the final round for a reason! We both LOVE the blues and r&b/soul so PLEASE, PLEASE try to pick songs that truly belong there.
Entries may begin immediately for this round.
Lucky for ya'll, as we are ahead of schedule, you have gained an extra day for the final round - it will end Tuesday, July 22nd. HOWEVER.... if all songs are in earlier, we will move on to the awards round
Another point we need to address is potential ties (and ya'll are all sooooooooo close together it is entirely possible!) Being our first competition to sponsor, we did not consider this earlier but have decided if there is a tie for first place we will have a sing-off.
OK.... we are prepared to be WOWED!

Hi guys.... I've received a complaint via private message in regards to our judging and want to clear something up!
"OK GUYS & GALS..... face it..... ya'll are all pretty darn good. The scoring is tight already and our decision making is going to be affected by a few technical issues - mainly clarity of performance, and whether or not we are hearing true acapella. So watch out for static and volume problems, and mute that music!" - Direct quote from Round 2
"We are going to be EXTREMELY tough in this round....... if we hear any music/ reverb/ echo/ enhanced vocal effects of any kind we will knock additional points off!" - Direct quote from round 3

hey jeanne, i'm sorry that someone did that. i have been in quite a few contest, and have run one myself. Sometimes people don't really realize, IT'S A CONTEST!!!!
and that means ONLY ONE WINNER!!!!! I don't get it, I just got eleminated off a contest, right before I came in and read this. No biggy, it's just for fun, no money involved, just the fun of sharing what I like to do!!! SING!!!! some people take this too serious! Shame on the person who sent that PM!!!!! Thank you for your enthusiasm and support of our contest. I have no problem with ANYONE PM'ing me with concerns, feedback, complaints, etc.... As long as it's worded politely (and all PM's have been so). This is a bit of a learning experience for us and we welcome the challenge to try to and make it better next time. I am not (nor is Kathy) so insecure as to take offense at another's viewpoint and it will not bias us in any future contests we may run. We would hope to see everyone back!
Please DO NOT turn this into a gripe session. The issue has been addressed and that is the end of it.
