Anyways, shay, the free stuff, does not work very well. I bought a fairly cheap sound card but a good brand. I have a Creative Sound Blaster Live!24-bit sound card. I paid $40 plus tax at Wal-mart 2yrs ago. You can buy it cheaper now for like $30 or so. It comes with reverb effects and a great sound for a small price. Many people have bought this sound card and I have helped them through the set-up. You may also want to check E-bay for a better price or even a better sound card for a cheaper price than what the stores are selling them for.

Do they frown upon free trial downloads? They would be obviously against the use of cracked software but I can't imagine that SingSnap would be concerned with demos/freeware/shareware/trials that are made available for free by the developers and publishers themselves.

Is there a reference in the TOU/TOC or in a thread somewhere?

ok you misunderstood singen. You are not suppose to record the songs on to your computer, that is against TOU. You can use effect programs that do only reverb not recording programs. You are confusing what she asking for. If you want to add effects to your voice you can do that with recording programs by going into your recording properties and setting it to MIC. Then record just your voice as you are singing along to the karaoke. This way it only records your voice and not the karaoke. Then add the effects to your voice and save and then play them back on to the SS recorder. This way, you are not recording the karaoke to your computer as well.

On my mac I use a free version of audio hijack pro which acts like a 2 channel mixer. I can apply real time effects using that software without recording to my comp. That still sounds good right Cheeky??
