Well welcome to round 1 everyone glad to see ya join us for this fun contest, as you know I do have a judge helping me out with this contest she is my dear sis Hillbillybabe she will be around to listen to yall as well as myself. Well lets get started shall we.
Round one will be about Country Music you have to choose any song in the Country Genre and sing it you must turn the music down all we want to here is that wonderful voice of yours. This round will last one week. There will be 3 of you elminated from each group this round and the rest of you will move on to round 2 you will be placed into two groups. So with that being said lets get this show on the road.

cowgirlblueeyes ok really how long does a snot nose last??? it's been 3 weeks!!!!hey rebelrose...how do you turn the music down...i can still hear mine even if i disable it...not much but you can still hear it...is there another way to do it

Same problem here. If I turn the sound down on the computer as well, on playback the music is still there faintly. And then voice is out of sync with the music tempo-wise.

I'm sure we both did that already. There is still a slight sound of music that comes through even though the volume button is slid all the way down.

Ok...on recording I can turn sound down all the way under the record button and turn the sound down on the computer, but on playback you still hear faint music. But I can't hear it when I'm recording.

When you record turn music all the way down and then when you get to the mixer pull all the way left to voice, should be no music then.

Well, I also shut down the sound on my computer so I did not hear anything when I was recording. If I start messing around with the computer's innards I'm afraid I'll never get it back where it needs to be again.

ah. the way to sing without music completely is to record it, and then go back and do harmonies.... that way it is fair. cause yes... I CAN hear the music in some and that my friends is not the name of the contest. plus I hope you don't think i'm just trying to be mean cause i am not. I think all of you are AMAZING, but there should not be music. period......... Hug!!

I'm on vista also...what i do is go by my clock and there is an orange speaker thingy(i have a realtek soundcard)..Right click on that..then click sound manager..everywhere it says playback volume slide the slider to the left until you get to a point where you're not hearing the music.

Crap.. when I went back to reharmonize this again the music still wasn't there but i added harmonies anyway.... the first time i did it and it was just the words on the page, so i guess i spoke tooo soon. LOL sorry bout that.. but really i can barely hear the music on some pages so i just contrate on the vocals myself. plently of great vocals.... can i leave this one or are no harmonies allowed???
