Welcome to "The Back 40"!
This thread has been started as a replacement of one originally setup as an informational and 'chat' thread for a contest run earlier this year.
Interaction between members in a social atmoshere is a large part of what the SS community is all about. I encourage such fellowship and it shall be the continuing mission of this thread to provide a place where members may promote their songs posted here on this website. It shall also serve as a gathering place for friendly banter and sharing of general interest conversations that promote enjoyment of the many opportunities available at SingSnap.
The gate has again being opened.. Please feel free to post your songs, opinions and questions. If you are merely seeking information on how you might navigate this site more efficiently and learn how to take better advantage of what is offered, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

Hey... there's a nice ray of sunshine!! Mornin', Cheryl!! Thanks for chiming in with a couple of tunes. The Shakira song is one I think got left behind, but we'll get it up on the next list, for sure, along with the duet, too.

cheryliana aww pish tosh & balderdash..Bob, I can never get the fish to bit for me. I went out on a gulf fishing trip once, got sick, only caught one tiny little fish, but a lot of the others on the fishing trip saw how pitiful I looked with my one fish and they gave me all of theirs to take home with me...lol I had more than enough to share...

these numbers used to mean something ,when we were younger .But now they are just numbers .Nothing we can do about them just make the best out of it .You my dear are a very young 59 .Now me that is a diff. story ,i just turned 64 ,but i feel like i am 34 .Enjoy it more everyday!!!

cheryliana aww pish tosh & balderdash..well, I should have clarified... 1959... which would make me 49 yrs old... don't really care so much about the age thing... but Bob, that's awesome to feel so young. I didn't feel 34 when I was 34...lol I have to say I feel younger now than I thought I would. Maybe not having the stress of raising children and being able to rest when I need to sure helps.

We're having a Fall Festival in our little city today and 2 of my sons are putting on a show where they will be singing songs where they wrote both the music and the lyrics.
