Well I "browsed" through "Country Artists" and came up with "The McCoys".
This song doesnt seem like a country song, but there it is, in the Country Artists Category. At any rate, this version was recorded in 1965, so I guess it fits the criteria either way.
Hi! I'm contestant #14. This is definitely a "moldy-oldie!" The original recording was by Dick Haymes in 1945. Ketty Lester had a hit with it in 1962, and Elvis did it in 1966. This is my rendition of LOVE LETTERS. I wish the best of luck to everyone in this contest. Sincerely, Joe Scibetta (when they're in my key I can "get away" with singing them!)
OLDIES & COUNTRY -1950-1969.{ROUND 6} For this round we had to do either an oldie or a country song between 1950-1969. So I took a trip down the country road. My choice was:

Sinatra made her mark on the American (and British) music scene in early 1966 with "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", its title inspired by a line in Robert Aldrich's 1963 western comedy 4 for Texas starring her father and Dean Martin. One of her many hits written by Hazlewood, it received three Grammy nominations, including two for Sinatra and one for arranger Billy Strange. The song has been covered by artists such as Geri Halliwell, Megadeth, Jessica Simpson, Lil' Kim, Little Birdy, Billy Ray Cyrus, KMFDM, Operation Ivy and the Del Rubio Triplets and The Supremes
This is from Wikipedia... I thought Sinatra did the song in 1966. Let me know if it is still O.K.
