SS~Subscription Prescription Plus 7 ~ Round 1

Welcome to Sing Snaps only Official contest where we can give you the gold!
Please read the rules as there have been some additions.

Round 1
Welcome to the Sock Hop and Congratulations for making it to Round 1!!
For this round we are asking you to CLAIM a song from the song list we provide and
then sing it. You do not have to get approval on a song as long as it is from the list provided but you
are responsable for making sure you have not claimed a song that has already been claimed so please keep an eye on the thread!

Contest Info

10 people will be eliminated per round, except for the auditon round where 40 will be eliminated.
this will include folks who withdraw/don't sing, ie: all DQ's
will count as part of the 10. There will be 10 going
to finals. All rounds begin and end at Noon Snap time
unless otherwise stated.



Judging

There are 10 + Judges, full time and alternates.
For this round, The judges will not be assigned to a group but will listen and
score as many of you as possible with at least 3 judges per song.
Alternates are on standby and are listening to your
songs as well. They will replace any judge incase someone
needs time off. They will be our tie breakers also.

You will be judged in 4 categories:
Voice and Clarity
Emotion
Pitch
Being able to impress the judges

All judges scores will be averaged.

Contest Schedule

Round 1......Begins Wednesday, August 20th......Ends Sunday, August 24th At Noon Snap Time (Eastern)
Round 2......TBA
Round 3......TBA
Round 4......TBA
Round 5......TBA

FINALS : TBA
We usually try to make the finals on one of the last weekend days of the contest after round 5.
Finals are held in the chatroom in our own room SSSP7 Finals. We encourge you
to be on video for this event and to record your songs if possible.
If you are not familiar with the chatroom please ask one of our judges or another contestant who is
to take you in and show you around.

Rules

Except for auditions and finals, we are not allowing
video. Now you can put a pic, or a slideshow but
as pretty as you all are, we want to just judge your singing
abilities. Also we really do want to consider those
who do not wish to get on cam or do not have one.

You may use echo/reverb but try not to use too much.

Leave any drama at the door, if you have a problem with anyone or anything please
PM your judge.

Songs are now to be ONLY songs on Singsnap.
Make sure your songs are in on time.
If you are leaving the contest please let us know! If you do not think you will be able to stay with us for a month if you are chosen to continue, then please do not audition and let someone who wants to stay throughout audtion.

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY:
If you are moved up a round and do not show up or sing, you will not be allowed to participate in the SSSP Contests for 3 months. As of this contest, SSSP7, we are going to totally enforce this rule. however will consider emergencies and work something out for you.
If you feel that there are certain genres that you cannot do, or if it arises, learn a new song
then please do not enter as there are many left behind who will want to participate.

This Round

For this round all judges, SS, and myself will be participating
Prizes

7 winners will receive an immunity card that will get you into a future
round (1 through 4) in any sssp contest you wish to join.

Our third runner up will win a 3 month Subscription.

Our second runner up will win a 6 month Subscription.

Our first place winner will win a one year Gold Membership.

"Congratulations" to the "Contestants" that made the Audition Round! We're glad you are a board!

And to those that did'nt make the Auditions, my comisserations to you! But please dont take it to heart too much! Sometimes little things like, Pitch, Emotion, Vocals Clarity, Enunciation or even the Energy you put into your songs have an effect on the Judges!

So please watch for SSP8 in about a month's time! You may re-enter then!
