LOL... I made a cow hat,and boom ya show up! Coool!
By the way...post your hand blown glass bead pics here too...pwwweeeease!
hehe. Leave it to me to just pop in when you least expect it. :P
I will. I just opened up my photobucket, but got a cannot find server thingie. And I really should be on my way out to the barn....but hang on, let me refresh and see if that page works.
It worked..yay!
Do you sell your hats anywhere, Betty? If not, you should! They're really cute!
But here's one pic of all of the beads I've made so far. Unfortunately, nothing new since I posted this over on deedle's art thread...although I'm hoping to find time this winter to sit and make more. A couple are missing; a bird bead, lady bug bead, and some green ones that I have on a dress.
hmm..thought that pic was bigger than that. The beads are bigger than they look here. They're not seed beads.
LadyDi821 try looking on the bright side.. it's there if you look. :)
Bob does a lot of wood work.. He can take a piece of wood and make anything.
We needed a corner table stand to put our big screen TV on. He measured. When into his work shop.. And a few hours later he came in with a beautiful table with 2 glass shelves and the color he stained it matched perfectly.
If we would have gone out to buy it .. I am sure it would have cost at least 500 dollars. He made it from things laying around the house.
He is making a toy chest now for our friend.
This is not his.... His is much nicer LOL But it gives you an idea of what he is making
LadyDi821 try looking on the bright side.. it's there if you look. :)
LOL I just rememberd all the crafts I made in Day Camp.. A mail box made out of popsickle sticks ... Things made with macaroni LOL.. Paper mache!! Did you do that in school?

Here is a super EASY bead craft I did a couple years back. It's a ring, and it's great for using up leftover mismatched beads, and it fits anyone. No fancy tools required. Just buy some elastic and tie a not, and put a spot of jewelers craft glue. Cheap and easy!
ANY shape beads work, round , square, oval, any old bead!
LadyDi821 try looking on the bright side.. it's there if you look. :)
Isn't easier to just go buy some dishes Betty at Home Goods? LOL They have really nice things there .. Even Marshalls has some pretty dishes LOL..
But It is a fun hobby if you have all the stuff in your home. I went to a class so it was a pain having to wait for the things to be finished. I think that's where my patience went down the tubes

Oh pretty ring.. But how do you do anything with your nails that long? LOL.
I have a hard time putting the back of an earring on and my nails are not as long as yours.
Here's another one I have the picture for already on the computer. Any others I'll have to locate first, then photograph.
This one is also crochet...made from recycle saraps (ordered online from India). Beautiful yarn! I love it. But this hat didn't turn out all that great.

AMAZING! And I make hats like these...how is the yarn made?
I assume it's made just from cutting the saraps into strips. It comes in skeins like any other yarn. I think you could find it if you just do a google search for recycled yarn. Seems that's how I found it...but it's been awhile, so I can't remember for sure.
It's really pretty, but hard to work with. I'm hoping I'll develope a smoother method as I go.

LadyDi821 try looking on the bright side.. it's there if you look. :)Cool Thread Betty!!
This is something I haven't done in a while. But I have so many cousins who had babies and then even some second cousins.
So for Baby showers. I would always knit a baby blanket for the crib. A pair of booties and a little sweater.
Once I learned as a teen I just kept going.
But once the babies stopped . I seem to have stopped.
I have to get back into it though. I was pretty good at it.
And when I would shop for the yarn ..I would just go nuts. All the different colors and types of yarn. Beautiful
It's not as hard as people think to knit.
