Can't hear the music if I run the wizard!!

When I do not set up with the wizard the music comes thru fine...loud and clear...but then I have no mic sound...if I go thru the steps with the wizard to set up mic.,..why then I have mic sound but no music...what's up. It was not nearly this difficult on myspace. I have windows XP

lets try start control pannel - sound and audio- click audio tab- then click volume youl see your wave setting this controls your sing snap recorder best setting is gree just tuching the yellow make shure your stereo mix is checked then go to midi make shure there is no check in mic THE GEAR GUY.
