**Snap's Knockout Tournament - AUDITIONS**

Hello and welcome to my Knockout Tournament!

Have you a competitive side? Open to try anything? Maybe this is the contest for you.

In each round there will be head to heads: there will be one winner and one loser - therefore half the field is cut in one round!

You will be able to choose your opponent; but first come first serve. You may also be restricted to a certain group of people.

If you are chosen first, then you will have to face that opponent - there is no choice.
If you choose someone first, you also get to choose the song BOTH of you will sing in that round, which can play to your advantage.
There is a free choice of songs, but a couple of things: don't choose gold only songs if your opponent is blue, if you choose a song which is offensive (to your opponent) for a decent reason, then a song change may be made.

There are 64 places in round 1. To get a chance at one of those spots, put an audition entry showing off whatever you consider your best ~ a website link to your chosen song will do. Auditions can be pre recorded (ie old). This contest will last a month and a half, give or take.
In the case of your opponent not showing up, you will be given a pass to the next round.
If two members of a pair don't show, then the best pair who have submitted will both go through to the next round.
If less than 64 people audition, then 32 people will progress to the first round instead.

Each round is five days long, auditions last four days. If after 48 hours there are unpaired people, or pairs without a chosen song, I will choose one for you both.

I am the only judge currently (if anyone would like to join the panel, chuck me a PM and I'll get back to you), and I'll put a banner on your song when I've heard it. I will be judging on overall performance (a lot of factors including: Creativity, Pitch, Tuning, Timing, Rhythm, Emotion, Effort, Entertainment and approach to the challenge). Of those, creativity is a notable plus: you need to make your entry stand out from your opponent!

The Rules:
1. Please keep to all deadlines. No entry = automatic elimination.
2. No pre records (except audition)
3. Extensions/alternative solution will be granted for good reasons only.
4. If you disagree with any of my decisions then please take it into PM with me for a chat. Any unjust arguing may result in a disqualification.
5. Only songs which are in the SingSnap library are allowed.
6. Key changer will be allowed if you are a gold member.
7. Harmonies, echo, reverb etc ARE allowed.
8. Please don't post anything obscene/disturbing, as this is a child
friendly site

I have sung, but on another account. One can judge well without being a great singer, though. I've judged several contests before and hosted three of my own as Snap Factor, all of which went very well. :)

Thanks Annie, cowgirl, and Brillo (aren't you going to put in an audition? ;) ) for the praise :) This is different to the Snap Factors, but I'm hoping for some really entertaining stuff coming up.

Just a hint to try and get your claim on the new thread when it opens as soon as possible. Choosing the right opponent could be what gets you through.
