Why hasn't the feature changed yet??????

Per ... no one wants singsnap to close down... I think what most upset everyone, me at least is (1) The lack of info that you all provided in regards to all this! Since I have been here, it has always been feature change at midnight and it stayed that way 24 hours. Now out of the blue you change it in the middle of the day, don't do a change at midnight when people are actually waiting for it and you provide no info, excuse, explanation, etc (2) One of the benefits I was given when I decided to go gold was "Having Your recording prominently displayed near the top of our feature page" (Although I no longer see that listed as a benefit)! With the feature the way it was it seemed that not only do we have to subscribe ourselves but pay for someone else as well if we would like to be on the feature!
So maybe before a Smart @$$ comment in response to peoples concerns and complaints, which seems to me what you above comment is, you should take time to "explain" what is going on!

Yes it was all due to the fact that it was not fortold, if I was told about it then I would have not even visited SS until the THANG was over, then return as Normal, I do not see any harm with SS doing this once a month if that is waht they want to do, BUT ALWAYS set a DATE and TIME so people can know, Not left hanging in front of their Puters till after Midnight to sing ...I think that there are hundreds or more Rockers out there happy now, maybe next time SS will remember that people out here have Feelings, and many do not have Family...their only true family is here at SS...what more can SS want in life than to know they have such a force to bring people together and make total strangers FRIENDS...Better than the UN...and the CONGRESS..but do not let it got to ya HEADS !! k.I.S.S " Keep It Simple Stupid" HEHEHE glad it is over and see the folks happy for a while !!!

What's the deal? This is a website. It's not mine. it's just a place to sing. The feature change was surprise, but it wasn't a big deal. If I didn't want to stay on the feature page, there's one called "New" where all the new songs (feature or not) are posted as they come in. I spend most of my time there anyway. Being gold doesn't mean we deserve to be heard more than blues. I'm not gold so I can be "featured". I'm gold because I like having more songs and the option to change the key. I'm on SingSnap because I like to sing, not because I'm going to be heard by 160,000 people. I just like to sing. In the big picture, it doesn't matter how many stars you have, or what your avatar looks like or how many comments you make or how much glitter is in your graphics. What matters is, "I had a good time singing today." or "Man, I found a cool duet to sing with so-and-so." or "I really needed to sing that song; it made me feel so much better after a hard day."
Come on, people, just sing and have fun. There's contests and friends and lots of new songs. This isn't real life, but it sure is a great way to escape for a while.

what about the old way to search members..seeing all the names? wasn't that temporary? we wouldn't rely so much on the feature page if that was back!!! it was really nice to just 'surf' sing snap! gone gone gone i think that stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SingSnap is a great site...but....underneath it all...its a business......they want all people to pay and if someone can't afford to be Gold...then SS wants someone who can afford it to pay for the blues who can't afford it....they don't care who pays..as long as they get the money...plain and simple...but..Please don't mess with our Gold privledges to entice new Gold subscriptions...after all...we have done our part by subscribing to Gold already....thanks...:)

Do away with blue nics then....if you don't pay..you don't sing...think that will ever happen? of course it won't.....SingSnap would lose a fortune in patron sponsored revenue.....I have noticed some Gold members on here...and good singers too I might add...letting their Gold Status expire...then spamming for Gold members to sponsor them..knowing that ...someone in their huge fan base.. will definately sponsor them..pretty sad really...I say keep it simple...pay and sing...or use another site thats free...if you can find one that is....ok ....thats a little too rigid....Give them one month free to try things out...then its pay up or leave....we won't have to be bothered with all this patron sponsor crap again!!If SS wants to treat this like a business..then run it like a business....you can't operate on half charity and half paying customers basis without pissing off your bread and butter customers ....don't mess with the Feature page..I pay to be able to be on there.....How could SS let non-paying members have more exposure on the Feature page than paying members do...unreal!Smarten up SS.

Dream ye know i like you me friend...but in reality the Blues did no such thing on the topic ye speak of above me...( they never whined..)...actually gold members were upset that many of their blue friends were going to pushed aside...and they stood up and spoke out in their defense...Smiles....i think the main thing is we are a community...and we all have one thing in common....we love to sing....Right!! Blue and Gold members are like, we need each other....plain and simple.....
