New Country Song

I have written a new song which I would like to see done in Country style.

It is about trying to control someone too much and then losing control altogether and losing them as a result. It is also about not realising what is happening until it is way too late.

Please let me know your views on the lyrics. Also if there are any musicians out there who can write a good tune for this then please let me know.

Here is is:

Aint no stoppin’ this mustang,
Though the reins are way too tight.
Why do I feel like a storms a comin,
And I’m gonna get drowned tonight?

Aint no jumping this saddle,
No exit, it’s way too late.
I lost control when I tightened those reins,
Used the spurs on my sole soul mate.

And I know I need to let her go but all that I do is hold.
Try to pull her back, try to keep control of a love that’s gone stone cold.
And I feel the cold but I imagine heat, I don’t know that I’m living a lie.
I think I love the ride, I really love the pride and I’m oh so scared of goodbye.

I thought I had control, but I lost her soul and I only drove us both apart.
