My Grandad (rest his soul) always had a warm loving glow about him every Christmas and a twinkle in his eye as he handed us each our Christmas envelope every year. He sat at the head of the tables (usually 3 or 4 tables lined up together) and watched us all goofing around with an endless smile as if to say this is my beloved family, in whom, I am greatly pleased!

i grew up with no christmas but celebrated it when i left home.christmas is just chritmas to me sorry. the best part is morning opening stockings on the bed with my honey. i do have a special memory of a boy we took care of cause his mother was a partier so some times we had him for two weeks in a row -well i made his christmas -he asked me why santa called other kids but not himself-there was this program on tv where santa called children.
so what i did is went to the bedroom and pretended to be santa calling him well he was estactic that santa called him(me) i was glad to make his christmas. in my eyes christmas is so delighting for me to watch lois' grandaughter as she gets older. she is three not understanding yet but when she does the joy of christmas will be great to see in her eyes :)

My favorite part of the holiday season is the opportunity to unite with family. I come from a family of 9 children and I'm the youngest. Everyone is married and has their own children and some have grandchildren. I'm the only one without children. We all live close to each other but rarely find time to be together except for special occasions and Christmas is one of them. I always loved living at home with a large family growing up so I cherish these moments.
My parents are the only one's missing, my mom went to heaven 15 years ago and my dad 13 years ago.
I admired my mom most, she raised 9 children and made Christmas time pleasant with her decorating, cooking, and Christmas music. Her compassion for others is something I will always remember and I try to be the same.

Christmas has so many memories its very difficult to choose any one specific time and so many special people have crossed my path, including family, friends and outsiders... I miss dearly the ones that are no longer with us....so this day has evolved in my life...
