RULES FOR ROUND 2
Thanks for your patience. Pay very close attention to the Round 2 Rules. EVERYONE who posted a song to the Audition Round, and Round 1 AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCES to Round 2!
1) Round 2 begins on June 29 @ 12:01 AM Singsnap Time. Any song recorded prior or posted prior to that time will not be accepted for round two.
2) Round 2 entries must be posted before July 1 @ 11:59 PM Singsnap time.
3) For Round 2 you must
Push a button and prepare for a wild ride!!!!!
4) You may use 'layering' to add your voice multiple times if you prefer.
5) For this round I am looking for how you compete head to head with others on the same songs. You select your own competition by the song you pick.
6) Audio only or audio/video entries are ok. Effects are fine.
7) Play nice, leave comments, be positive, and have fun!
8) Once the round begins, you must post your recordings to this thread. Recordings on other threads will not be moved and you will be disqualified.

I'm a bit confused. Are we suppose to use the radomizer or are we suppose to pick the same songs as other people and try to out do them?

When someone posts a thread to round two, I think it's safe to assume that round one is over, which is why it was moved.
I have moved it back now, but I think you'll confuse your contestants more having two rounds seemingly going at the same time.

HOST'S NOTES - Using Layering
I have had some questions about 'layering'. Basically when you save a song you have the option of changing recording options. So after you sing a song you can change the options ot "Allow Duets". Then you can sing a duet with your self and save it. Change the options again to "Allow Duets" and add another layer. I haven't seen any limitation to this option so LAYER AWAY.

CONTEST UPDATE
There will be a delay between the end of Round 2 and the beginning of Round 3 to allow me time to review your work and set up for the final round.
Since I will be out of town this week without internet access, after this round is complete on July 1st, the contest will resume at 12:01 AM SS time on July 10.
I appreciate everyone who has participated in the contest and look forward to the final results.

ok, it was my understanding that whatever button you pushed was the song you got stuck with and I happened to push the 5th one which is that damned Bonnie Tyler song and I sang it and just now I was reading back and it looks like you can choose the song you want...so which is it? Do you have to sing the song on the first button you chose or can you choose because if that's the case I may as well push the other four buttons and pick a song I like....

I was just listening to My Band (I haven't heard it in ages, I forgot that song even existed) and I realized you need a split personality to sing it because about six guys sing this song!

Woo Hoo! Talk about taking me out of my comfort zone!!! I didn't know ANY of the 5 songs, so I chose the ONLY one I was even remotely familiar with and TRIED it. It's a lot of fun being S-T-R-E -T-C-H-E-D and FORCED to get out of that comfort zone that we, so often, hide behind. Well....here it is:
