Welcome To Challenge For All Stars...Where Everyone Who Sings Is A Star...

At the beginning of each challenge, the host will post a theme... You are asked to sing a song based on that theme... Plus there might be a Mini-Challenge and/or Duet Challenge..

This is NOT a Contest. It is simply a Challenge to sing a song based on a specific theme.

Depending on the wishes of the host, you might be asked to record a fresh track or perhaps post one from your archives...
Once you have recorded your song, just come and post the link on the board...

Requirement is that you LISTEN TO AND POST A COMMENT ON AT LEAST * THREE * SONGS OF YOUR FELLOW POSTERS... COMMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL.... THIS IS WHAT TRULY DETERMINES A SUCCESSFUL CHALLENGE
The object of this challenge is to share songs and develop friendships.

Challenge for All Stars would like to clarify a few points regarding the Challenge, its Hosts, and the Themes posted by the Hosts. DUTIES OF THE HOST: The duties of the Host are to develop a Theme for the day's Challenge, to listen to and bookmark the songs posted to that day's Challenge, and to MODERATE the BOARD for anything that would go AGAINST the FORUM BOARD RULES as stated by SINGSNAP. The DUTIES OF THE HOST DO NOT include moderating any DISPUTES that may occur between adults who visit the challenge. We would hope that Challenge members remember that they are Adults and CONDUCT themselves as such. We back up our Hosts 100 percent as to the Themes they post to the board. I do hate to procrastinate(put things off to the last minute), I getting ready for the biggest holiday there is, CHRISTMAS. So were gonne sing our jolly little souls out.

The Legend of the Candy Cane

Many years ago, a candy maker wanted to make a candy at Christmas time that would serve as a witness to his Christian faith. He wanted to incorporate several symbols for the birth, ministry and death of Jesus. He began with a stick of pure white hard candy; white to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus; hard to symbolize the solid rock, the foundation of the Church; firmness to represent the promise of God. The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. He thought it could also represent the staff of the Good Shepherd, with which he reached down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.

Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received, by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life. Unfortunately, the candy became known as a candy cane - a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the true meaning is still there for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

TEN COMMANDMENTS OF CHRISTMAS

8. Thou shalt not neglect thy church. Its services highlight the true meaning of the season.
9. Thou shalt be as a little child. Not until thou has become in spirit as a little one art thou ready to enter into the kingdom of Heaven.
10. Thou shall not forget to share your joy, peace and faith with those around you.

My Family Tradition

With so many loved ones, teachers, friends that my four boys have not to mention what I have, it gets very expensive to buy gifts. So every year we start collecting things we find on walks(in the woods), we make our gifts for Christmas. It is so fun to look in a box of junk and get creative, now I may have to purchase picture frames, wooden boxes and other small items, but when done there beautiful.

A personalized gift from the heart is way more precious than a bought one. The boy's love this and we use this as family time together after supper.

Have any of you seen those ornaments they came out with last year? Well 4 years ago we were making them.

When company comes over they get very noisy and anxious to see what they might be getting.
