That's not songwriting. That's plagiarism.
I write original music and sing karaoke. But I don't think it is ethical to change the lyrics of a published song, in deference to the songwriter.
Sorry. Count me out.

Writing a song is composing music and lyrics. Sampling a song is what artists do today. Swipe a hook and put a new twist on it.
This is simply making up words to a music track that replicates the original artist's music track.
Cool if that's what you wanna do. But it is NOT songwriting. Sorry.

One of my favorite things to do,
I suppose as far as creating musical composures this would not be classed as a fully written song,,lyrical composure though it would.
