This thread can be used to explore the possibilities Obama is the anti-christ. Dissent is welcome of course.

CowGalDeb says got snow ... got sun? will swap! ... hello everybody!

Well... I find it mind-boggling that we are considering dedicating a national holiday to a man not yet in office... as if he were George Washington? Abe Lincoln? Bizarre.

I posted this in another thread, but perhaps it is better suited in this one.

A video where the children are singing for him.

When did we ever have children do that for a United States President, and in this case, a Presidential CANDIDATE.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTm5rp8r6fE

Early on in his campaign people were CHANTING his name over and over in another video. Just eerie..

ALSO

If Obama is a Christian, do you not find it ODD that he, as a Christian, is "okay" with being called Messiah?

Messiah used in the Christian faith = Jesus Christ.

No one is singing songs to Sarah like they do to Obama, and like they did to Hitler,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1roYORUIrc

or calling her the Messiah, etc...or sacrificing sheep to her! Obama on the other hand...

Louis Farrakhan (the National Representative of the Nation of Islam) Calls Obama the messiah. "The Messiah is absolutely speaking"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OowxMcVTjTE

44 Sheep sacrificed for Obama: The only people i've ever heard of sacrificing animals to someone is when it is done to their God...

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3619264,00.html

What scares me is that he hasn't done anything yet, except get on TV and smile and lie... and this is how people are acting. Sacrificing Sheep???? I'm pretty sure even Hitler couldn't get folks to do that for him willingly. What exactly, do you think would be the limit to what they'll allow him to get away with?

He's ok with being called the "Messiah?" Says who? The ONLY people who call him the Messiah are the people who start threads like these intent on drumming up hysteria.

Christians have been trying to name the Anti-Christ without accuracy for centuries.

Here are some other people who have been falsely accused of being the Anti-Christ:

*The Roman Emperor Nero

*Just about every Pope

* Charlemagne

* Napoleon

* Franklin Delano Roosevelt

* Benito Mussolini

* Adolf Hitler

* Joseph Stalin

* John F Kennedy

* Henry Kissinger

* Ronald Reagan

* Yassir Arafat

* Louis Farrakhan

* Bill Clinton

* Bill Gates

* Prince Charles of Whales

* George W Bush

These were all incorrect theories, as is yours.

This man is going to be the President of your country. The people of your Nation elected him. You may not like it, but to rail against him at every turn, to lie in wait to pounce on his every mistake (which he will surely make as all humans do) is to only defeat yourself.

You hate him for reasons unknown. You cannot allow yourself to believe that he is just a man. A man who may be able to do some good for the country in which you live. You would rather cling to your fear.

So cling to your fear if you must. Spread crazed, delusional nonsense if it suits you. But don't be surprised when you go to meet your maker if he tells you that your version of "spreading his word" was not what he had in mind.

1 other thing...I have this crazy friend, who keeps saying the same thing about Obama being the anti-christ. Last weekend, I went to hang out with her, since I have not seen her in a LONG time.......Stupid girl pulled out her bible & kept reading scriptures to me in the book of Revelation (sp?) about how Obama is the anti-christ because he will reign for 1024 days & that is what it says in the bible.....there was a lot of crazy talk...

So I finished my wine, I packed up my stuff, and I left. Then I remembered why I don't see her anymore.

She tried to pull the same thing when we were like 14 about Prince William being the antichrist.......I thought she was loony.....and I was right!

Republicans go to Crazytown

"On Obama's religious beliefs:

1. Obama had a close spiritual relationship with Reverend Wright. An understandable opposition message.
2. Obama is a Muslim. Uh, no, actually, and what would be wrong with that if he were?
3. Obama is the Anti-Christ? Crazytown."

Personally, I'm ok if the lunatic fringe wants to devote all their time and energy to such to such an ineffectual "issue" while the rest of the country is busy getting actual work done.

This country just took a huge step forward in healing the racial divide, and Jesus would be rejoicing with the rest of us about that.

We are smiling and have joy in our hearts - filled with the love of our common man, while the paranoid haters obsess about delusional fantasies.

When he becomes the head of the United Nations then I'm really going to worry.

I've never seen such an outpouring of "whatever you want to call it" for a man who hasn't done anything yet. It's one thing to support the president elect but this is really outrageous. No wonder Christians are beginning to think he's the Anti-Christ and are going in the opposite extreme. The people for Obama have gone way overboard. It's like people are falling under some kind of spell and are believing everything that comes out of his mouth and if an untruth comes out they are right there to defend him. The man has done nothing yet but win a presidential election just as 43 other men have done before him. I find it totally amazing.

The restaurant my wifes works in had 4 black waitresses and a floor supervisor dancing around in front of customers singing "now we got it made with Obama". A state representative was eating there. He wrote a three page letter to the owner complaining about the behavior. The next day all involved were fired along with the Store manager. The owner is a black man.

I take it you think a national holiday in your country to celebrate Obama just because he's the first black President of America is unimportant. "black guy got voted into office? that's why? that's all you got?"

But to intimate that a celebration of making a black person President does more to make all minorities look like helpless victims, shows you just don't get it. But bottom line is that you seem to just not give a shit about the issue. If it was an issue that was close to YOUR heart, would you be more up for it?

I understand that this gives hope to our African-American children. But they are children with dreams. And I hope for their sake this man turns out to be someone they can look up to. Obama is a man who has been elected to a very high position. It's great that he got there but what is more important is what he's going to do once he's there. And I understand the hope that is within people....I think we all have "hope" for a better country but it hasn't happened yet. There is no reason to have a National holiday at this time. We will be celebrating his being elected on inauguration day when he takes office.

Like him or not, the fact remains that Obama is a symbol. He could really be worse than Hitler, and it would not change the fact that he is still a symbol of Martin Luther King's dream...

Also, the fact people keep calling him a black man when his mother was a white American, and his father was a black African (making him half and half for those of you that can do math...), shows that people of mixed decent are still viewed as "tainted" because they are not pure...

Which just means as much of a symbol Obama has become for MLK's dream, we still have a long way to go before his dream is realized completely...

Also, if it had been a woman, say Hilary Clinton, it would be just as big a deal, and regardless of what you may feel about her, it would have still be note worthy...

I brought up the fact that he is just as much white as black in another thread and got shot down pretty fast so it's useless to even go there. This man was raised in a white society. He has never experienced what the poor and middle income black man has had to face in the past. His grandmother was far from poor.

I would beg to disagree that he hasn't done anything yet. Have you spoken to African American kids lately? Have you seen the sense of pride, the affirmation that they can be anything they want to be? Have you listened to them speak of greatness they want to achieve? Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you, but for those who have never taken it for granted that the White House is in the possible realm of their imagination, take it from me, that YES, he has done way more than sign his name to a bailout package, or pardoned high end criminals, or negotiated some peace treaty between North and South Wasilla. Maybe you haven't seen the hope and the inspiration that is bubbling inside some members of the population, but I can only think that it is a positive thing.
My 0.02.

I totally agree. Many children are awe-struck by the election. There is hope and pride in their eyes. But I don't think that obama should receive a national holiday in his name just YET.

We are jumping into things waaaay too early. Let's see what this man can do first. =)

Why would children be awe struck by his election? What has he said or done that could possibly inspire awe?

This situation is just creepy. I must say I have never seen anything with so much enthusiasm for so little substance.

because it is something that they have never seen before.

And that something is?

Palin rings a bell? :-))

I never got this enthusiastic over Palin or Hillary. Was it nice to have women in politics that I felt like I could relate to? Yes, but I didn't believe they hung the moon either.

With due respect, I can understand how you would have gotten shot down. Being half white means nothing in this country. There is no middle ground. You are either white or black.

Unfortunately that's the way the majority sees it.

That is disturbing. I thought we were supposed to be color blind.

As a child my state had a black Senator for many years. He was a Republican though, does that count?

I just don't get what Obama just happening to be black has to do with anything.

Considering you're a very white male - that's not a surprise.

Love a little...
