My first 2 songs dealt with "The Breakup". First mournful, then spiteful. Which leads us to what I drew from it. It was a devastating breakup and well I got a little out of control. I "obtained" a motorbike through not so legal means and hit the Pacific Coast highways and managed to find my way to a hippy commune in a lovely place called Hornby Island. Met some amazing people who had a whole different perspective on life and learned a lot from them. After a month I hit the roads again from Vancouver to Toronto with a detour in New Orleans where I earned my cash as a street performing clown. All said and done it was a epic adventure where I really got to taste what life had to offer and what true freedom meant. That journey will always be a part of me and taught me to take risks and live life fearlessly. One little setback can pull you under and drown you if you let it. So don't let it man, break free of those shackles and show life who's in charge.

My entry for "The Soundtrack of My Life" Round Two. In Round One I started with "The Breakup". It was a rather somber tune and well we all know with breakups we slowly move from that to our next extra healthy emotion... ANGER!!! Ok well maybe not healthy but we have all been there and it is on the path to healing so long as we can move past it, which I did. You'll have to wait for Round 3 for that, in the meantime I hope you enjoy this one. Give me those comments, you all help me get better so thank you in advance.

My Submission for "The Soundtrack of My Life" Singsnap contest. Life is rarely a single narrative but a series of stories, one leading into the next. Here is one of my life's stories. My first song is about the break up. Break ups should never be the end of a story but merely the first chapter of a new one. So here is "The Beginning"
