Took some time after I recorded this one to put my thoughts together about Romantic Love. When I was younger I had definite ideas about Romantic Love, that as I've gotten older have turned out to be quite unrealistic. I've learned that while romance takes the soul "beyond the mere bonds of Earth" some portion of the mind must remain in the here and now taking care of the mundane parts of living or else you get into a situation where "sometimes love just ain't enough". There's a beautiful, heady euphoria that accompanies a new love affair where two souls commune and become temporarily synchronized. It lives in a different plane of existence where there is no need for sleep or food or even breathing. We touch that plane sometimes and even dwell there for a brief time. But life gets in the way and our fall back into that daily life can shock us or even bruise us to a certain degree. I'm not going to be crass enough to describe a particular scene or ascribe a particular euphoric feeling to a specific person whom I have loved because doing that would cheapen it. And make no mistake, each love is different, each person feels different in the texture of their soul and each combination of our souls takes us to a different place on that other plane of existence. I know that I'm rambling a bit but that's what happens when we mere humans try to put something so indescribable into words. The closest I've ever been able to come is that it "Feels So Right"
