Judge's Contribution for Survivor 2014: Do You Have What it Takes?. Audition round: Film and Stage genre. I am SO honored to be among so many extremely talented judges in this competition. I am looking forward to listening to and scoring my randomly assigned contestants, and enjoying my concert! The prize is awesome and I know Boo and Karin are gonna make y'all work for it. I have been creating a new character for Halloween this year. She is still a work in progress (has no official name yet) but she is a Steam Punk Saloon...umm...Lady? She 'aint no saloon girl, that's for sure. ;-) audio layer: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/b460df8a5 my notes: normal key. Sound choice version. I chose this back track 'cuz it has dialogue which actually works with my character, and allows me to whip out her sci fi pistol. I need a fabulous name for her. I have a few in mind, but she is still developing her personality. She works in a saloon...possibly owns it...entertains the patrons, etc. This recording marks my first test of her makeup, hair, costume...she has a ways to go before she is done, but I think this is a nice debut for her. In her alternate reality, yes...Jazz exists. But not "Lucky Lindy." So I changed that lyric. I heard a professional production/recording of this song with that alternate lyric, so it should be ok. :-)

Audio only. probably as good as it will get tonight, as tired as I am. Took some time choosing a track that I liked. I still need to put on my costume. I recorded this in makeup and hair...but my costume won't allow me to sing well, I think. Hopefully I can lip sync in it. normal key. timing -6 because my character is steam punk, and pre-dates Charles Lindbergh, I changed a lyric. I changed "I'll bet you Lucky Lindy never flew so high." to "I'll bet your lucky pin, you never flew so high." In MY steam punk universe, music is varied, and jazz can exist. take 3 on this sound choice back track. hopefully some day soon i can get to those other, longer back tracks. Some are quite different.
