~ Laura & Drayton's TV/Film/Stage Contest ~ Round 2 ~ FILM "Part of Your World" is the theme song of Disney's 1989 animated feature film,The Little Mermaid. It was written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman, and originally recorded by American actress and singer Jodi Benson in her starring role as Princess Ariel. "Part of Your World" is a ballad, in which the main character, Ariel, expresses her dreams of becoming human and being part of the human world. When I was a young teen one of my dreams was to be a Disney movie singer. So in a way I'm kinda living out a childhood fantasy here... :o) This is for all the Disney princesses at heart out there. For the record... I do also like to rock out occasionally! ;o)

For ~ *SONGS OF DISNEY-AUDITIONS* "Part of Your World" is a song written and composed by the songwriting duo of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It was originally featured in the 1989 Disney film The Little Mermaid, and is also featured in the Broadway musical adaptation of the film. The song is sung by Ariel, the title character, while in her hidden cavern which holds all of her treasures, most of which are human objects. It reveals how Ariel longs to be human and live among their culture, and how she's tired of being a mermaid living under the sea. In the film the song was performed by Jodi Benson.

Love love love love love love love (x1000000000) this song :) sorry about the crazy facial expressions! It's a curse... I'm a horrible liar, cause of my darn old expressive face. But I feel it's better to just accept it :) I hope it was entertaining :)
