I was looking through some songs that I sang in the past and found this song that I did on Oct 26th of 2009 - on October 28th of 2010 My Loving wife of over 40 years passed away suddenly. I miss her very much, but I look forward to seeing her again. Our life is eternal and heaven is a real place that is better than anything we can ever emagine. I always told Cindy "Our Love is Forever" - Love is Eternal - True Love Never Dies - Thank You Lord for Your Love and for giving me Cindy. I Love You Cindy, I'll see you in Heaven.

Feature, for the Love Story Contest: Round 3: Romantic Love: Ooh, where to start, LOL!! Well, as many of you know I lost my first true love 15 years ago. So through therapy and time for healing we finally started having a peaceful life again. I Had a boyfriend for 3 years who was a loser, ditched him (already had a little boy, wanted a man). Shortly after met Robert on a Catholic dating site. Only problem was he was in CA and I was in MA. But we decided we would talk anyway. He came to MA after about 6 weeks for a week and we knew we were in love. Though I wanted to take it a bit slower, his 14 daughter was spinning out of control, her mom was joining a convent and we thought she would do better here. Well, I could write a book and a sequel to all the events and drama that have enfolded in the ensuing years!!!! Suffice is to say it would rival the Bible or any Jerry Springer Show, LOL!!! There was defacement of propert, credit card theft, drug and alcohol abuse, pregnancy scares, files charged for murder (of an unborn baby), mental illness, assault, hospitalization for suicide, holes being punched in walls, betrayal, pathological lying, prostitution, financial abuse, charges of neglect, suspensions, police visits, boarding school, the list is endless. Our joined family was "Dysfunction Junction"!!!!!! My son and I had endured so much and now we were trying to endure this but the family was a hot mess!!! After a couple of years Robert's daughter had to be removed from the home before someone wound up in jail!!!! Loving someone is a choice to me!!!! God can put people in your path in life but ultimately it's up to you to decide to love or not love. Our marriage has been through the wringer and many a couple would not have been able to survive what we have!!!!! But we both have a strong faith in God which is the center of our marriage. We have worked extremely hard over the past 7 years to grow in our relationship. We are much happier now than in the earlier years but marriage is something that requires work!!! We are constantly looking for ways to improve our marriage. That is the romantic love to me, that you are willing to work on things to keep trying to have the most fulfilling marriage that you can!!!! Robert sang this song to me one morning when we woke up and it just brought me to tears because I know that despite all the baloney we have gone through how much he loves me!!!! For my peachy friend The Good Times: yes, there was a time when i was madly in love. i told you about her in round 2. She was the joy of my life. we both were in love with each other. each moment we spent together was special. young and foolish, yes we were. i was 24 and she was 19. she had never cooked a meal in her life. not her fault. her mother didn't think it was necessary to teach her. my mom began teaching me to cook from the age of 10. then one fine day it was my turn to teach jennifer. i was teaching school and coaching football and basketball. just a week into our marriage, i came home from practice and found her in tears. when i finally calmed her down to when she could talk, she said she had ruined our supper. spare ribs was the main course. unfortunately, she had turned the oven up to high and the ribs flamed. man that woman was upset. i ate them anyway. for a couple of months i helped her cook when i got home from school. her confidence began to grow. soon she became a better cook than i. i never scolded her for cooking mistakes except for the times she cooked the wrong egg. we loved doing whatever we could together. we had fun. laughed a lot. enjoyed each other's company. somewhere along the way i failed as her husband. she found my then best friend a better choice for her happiness. nonetheless, she gave me four children, two boys and two girls. i still have fond memories of our time together. from reading other members' life experiences, this contest wrenched our guts. but we followed the rules. revealing innermost thoughts and feelings has been difficult for many of us. i can, however, only speak for me. i believe i have become a stronger, more wholesome person for the experience.
