Included in this tutorial is a video that will walk you through your Audio devices on your Mac. It will explain how to select the proper recording devices and how to set the levels on them.

In this example they will show you how to set up a USB mic for recording. The same thing applies if you are using a microphone that plugs directly into the "line in" or "mic" input on your Mac. Be sure to select the proper device that you will be using.

Headphones are highly recomended when singin on SingSnap and you only need to capture your voice. When you get to the SingSnap mixer after recording all you have to do is click on "Enable Music" and this will add a fresh music track to your recorded vocal.
