It is already the worst thing since you are married, nice looking,
Nice job, especially all the talking part.So cute...
You bent the heck out of the gender, J!A beautiful rendition. The ending made me smile!OK. I'll move along!Thank you!
this was wonderful!! Cool song, and who cares about gender when its a cool song.... right?I sure enjoyed my visit to your studio this morning...hmmmmm I might try this too...thanks Jewelya!PreZ
PLEASE do, Wes. I would love to hear it. Something for your "stolen moments" audience.I dig it when I uncover something and inspire someone else to try it. I had forgotten this song too, until I came across another Snapper's version, then it came right back to me, so dramatic and silly and dated. When did this come out, the 60s? The 70s? In truth, it took me several tries. I kept busting up laughing after singing "Dude." Take it home, My Cali brotha!
Thanks everybody for listening.
And hey, gotta say... NEVER say never.
Hoping everyone is doing ok during this difficult time. Stay safe. <3
Hi JewelyaI've always liked this pretty, bittersweet song. I love your "gender-adjusted" rendition, beautifully sung....and your ad lib at the end was priceless . Johnny Maestro, the lead singer of Brooklyn Bridge, passed away a few years ago, but he was a great talent.Hugs, Dave
Hahaha. I guess the narrator should have heeded Beyonce. If you liked it, you shoulda put a ring on it.
Ohh..U can gender bend all yah want!..as long as u don't grow a beard or mustache on me..lol
Aww..I like this song.. U picked a gem to sing and share here..
A sad but sweet tune I might say!. love the talking piece. All the sweeter with them lovely vocals of ur added!*****Golden Starz*****Shane
Thanks everybody for sharing the fun!
Had to look up the Brooklyn Bridge. Is that the stunner? I think so!
Happy times with friends, cool pic. Oh I know this one, a lovely song, you made this gender sound brand new, and as to the lyrics, the protagonist truly doesn't know what he wants, lol, loved your version ****************************** Saab.
gender bender, that is
The switch in gender does bring a smile :))))))
OK, now you have to listen to my "Billy Don't Be a Hero".
You're giving me a funny alternate take on Garth and Wayne here.
What would the alternate version of "schwing" be?
This really is an odd song ... that must be why all this "dude this" and "dude that" is taking me to Wayne's World.
Of course, I love these crazy re-imaginings of things too, so I'd say you have a bull's eye here.
By the way, are you trying to provoke a reaction by sticking that picture of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge up there??? I don't see any Brooklyn Bridge around here.
I wasn't trying to provoke a reaction, Oh Man-Of-Two-Cities--or "Man of Many Bridges" might be more accurate--with that, maybe with the song, ad libs or singing, but not with the bling. Actually it was an honest mistake. I searched the band name in Glitter Graphics and this was what the site came up with. I just assumed it was correct. Not many folks in Snapland are as well-traveled as you or as knowledgeable about Big City bridges, although the Transamerica building should have tipped me off. Thanks for the correction.
Of course I will check out your song. Always grateful for a tip-off on a post you want me to hear or one I haven't commented on. Have a good evening, Dude.
