I took these photos at Westwood Lake in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island., BC..
I wrote and composed this song. I put 5 guitar tracks, an electronic drummer track, and a voice track together on it.. I called the song "Slip Away"
When I was in the Navy I had the pleasure of working so many good men and women. I used to be one of the entertainers on board ship because I could play a guitar and write songs with lyrics that would make others laugh or feel sad. This song "Slip Away" was written for a shipmate who was having marital problems at home and his wife was going to leave him. He didn't want it to happen. He could play rhythm guitar and sing a little and he asked me to write a song so he could sing it for his wife to try and save his marriage.. When he sang it for his wife, it actually helped to save his marriage., and that left me with a very good feeling. In those days breakups and divorces happened a lot and it pleased me to be able to help save his relationship. This is the song that I wrote for my shipmate.....
