when i saw this comp for a gender bender... i had to sing this one.
this song is the most emotional song i think i have ever come across.
the life of johnny cash is summed up with this song and although he did not write it, i like to think he heard it and it was so emotionally connecting for him that he had to sing it.
i thank my mate indy for singing this live in front of me one night, when i had never heard it, and it moved me so much, i have been singing it ever since.......
