The point of this contest is to sing a song I've always wanted to sing, one that touches me, that I feel deeply, but have been too afraid to sing. This is one such song. I've loved it since I saw Pocahontas with my daughter. Deep in my soul, I've a strong affinity with Native American, Lakota in particular. The culture, beliefs, traditions, all feel right deep in the core of my being. I've been draw to Paha Sapa long before I knew it's name. Also the lyrics apply to all cultures, all ages, all beliefs, for it's saying to never give up one's dreams for a quick solution for u never know what's just around the river bend....x
