(blended To not blended) pure blended; many voices singing the same song as one - Correct To pop/shallow/vibrato/throaty; many voices singing the same song at the same time individually - Incorrect pop - Not for this style of singing or for a choir unless called upon to do so or a solo is given. shallow - Airy, no real control, even if notes are hit they sound weak and do not sound pure as they aught. And mixing shallow singing with pushing from the diaphragm covers over whatever pure singing might otherwise be heard within the choir unless of course enough of the choir is in agreement to sing tall pure vowels. vibrato - Though when placed properly is beautiful, all throughout a piece, especially in group singing is distracting and does not add warmth as one may otherwise think but disconnection from the group; a red pair of pants in a choir full of black slacks. throaty - Pushing from the throat not only causes strain but sounds strained as well as causing the pitch to occasionally fall flat. One should never compromise good tone for volume.

Although both ways of singing are nice, only One way of singing is Correct in the singing of a piece such as this As well as the singing in a Choir. Unless - You are singing a genera of music that calls for it Or you have a solo you must sing like an all English boy choir; open vowels, tongue down out of the way, pure resonating sound. No solo voices and No Americanized horizontal sounds, tall sounds. legato ~ like the pulling of taffy, staccato - like the throwing of jelly beans at a marble wall, but Always open vowels and Always moving forward. Blending does Not come from just singing the right note or singing the same volume as the person next to you, it's about the Vowel Shape. Everyone must be in agreement with this otherwise the sound that is heard as a whole will sound in disagreement; no matter how beautiful the individual voices.
