I was born with cleft palate and speech impediment. But I like to sing anyway. I retired recently from paid work. I actually volunteer more now that I have the time. I'm a Father and a Grandfather.

I have spoken on a few occasions at Christian men's meetings. I have volunteered in the Men's Ministry at a Crisis Pregnancy Center. I am an Elder and a Small Group Leader at my church. I have sung "Why Me Lord" and "Oh Come Angel Band" at my church recently (July/August 2012).

I have a High tenor voice with some nasality due to my cleft palate. I will probably re-record many of the songs I do until (if ever) I get past ALL of the pitchy notes and mis-pronounced words. I'm designating a lot of my recordings as "private" until/if I work out some (probably never eliminate all) of the kinks I've described.

My Influences are Evangelical Christianity, Promise Keepers, and Pre-Dixiecrat Republican politics. My wife has tutored me over the years using hymnals. Before that I couldn't sing at all. She may help me on a song or two.

Many of my songs have a message in the comments. My solos in church are usually accompanied by a message also. I have a passion for Christ, for our Christian Heritage, and for genuine faith.
