I've been thinking of singing this song and when Bella sang it tonight I knew I've rather sing it with her than by myself. Not that she needed me to sing along with her as she sang this song just wonderfully by herself, including adding her own harmony. Here is the link to her wonderful sing she did that I sang with here: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/af73884b3 Give her some love on her song. But never the less, here I am singing a song I've loved for years along with a truly inspiring voice. lol Graphic by SS member KellyAnne4Peace Thanks to everyone for stopping by and listening! Comments are appreciated and if you like the song, remember to hit the Love It button. :)
This song was for the SingSnap Rewrite Contest Part 2 and it is on gypsyangel's page, but I captured it back to my page to share with some of my SS friends who missed it. Thanks to all of you who already have listened to it! Our Chosen Duo was Bonnie and Clyde and I love the story gypsyangel wrote to go along with this song. We didn't win anything in the contest, but I always feel like a winner when I sing with this lady's gorgeous voice. :D Other songs we did for the contest: Clydes round one song: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/b387e1ab3 Bonnie's round one song: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/b4ba59feb Clyde's duet part for verification: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/beb7ec51b And here is the link to the finished song on gypsyangel's page if you want to comment to her there on it: http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/c4a201efb We chose A Thousand Years (part two) because this song could have been written for us! Here is our story... So many days we've spent together, huntin' and runnin'. We've been living on the edge for so long it seems like forever, just outside the law, outside the bounds of morality, on the threshold of our sanity. Clyde looks at me sometimes with wild eyes and I meet his gaze with a sort of primal stare of my own, two animals who know we're more than human, more than society or the coppers can dream us to be. They say we're evil, the headlines read desperados, bandits, outlaws, monsters. They don't know the half of it. Clyde was bitten and changed into a vampire one night while hiding out in an old abandoned mansion. He knew instinctively that he had to change me as well...so we could be together forever. Nothin' can stop a love like ours, nothin' can stop the thirst for blood, the need for the thrill of the hunt. The hunters will never be captured by the prey, the cops, the possies, they can try but nothing can take us down and we know it. Some say vampires only rule the night, but Clyde and I, we're like nothin' they've ever seen. Fairy tales and old Hollywood horrors think they know what creatures like us can do, let em keep thinkin' it. Let the unsuspectin' fools think they shot us down on that old highway, let em think they got us cold and dead. The truth is, we've been cold and undead for a few years now, and we roam the land together and do as we please. We have our fun. Now that they think they got us, gunned us down, killed us dead, we can keep doin' what we do best, Clyde and I. They can't kill what's undead, and now we'll be together for a thousand years, and none will be the wiser.
It's always a great day when a new Civil Wars song is available. Thanks Bella for your beautiful sing on this sad song. It's always a pleasure to sing with you! :) Graphic by SS member KellyAnne4Peace Thanks to everyone for stopping by and listening! I'm so happy to sing my first song of 2014 with my friend Bella. I sang this so I could here Bella sing it again. Isn't she amazing singing this. Sorry I know I sang over a few of your parts. I just get caught up in the song (and the beers making me want to sing the whole song myself - lol). Thanks for letting me sing this with you again. Nothing better than singing a Civil Wars song with my friend GypsyAngel! And I don't want you to go away. :)
