Below are the duets featuring poprocker that appear on other members' pages.
I love this gritty ghostly tale of marauding phantom cattle, & the spectral cowboys, who are damned to this endless stampede. If you look to the western skies, when the black clouds gather before a summer storm, you can easily imagine the roiling dust raised by a thundering herd, & see the weathered rawhide-tough cowboys on their wild-eyed steeds galloping after them. Poprocker's deep voice, & wonderful grasp of a Texas accent (hey, where did THAT come from?? *smile*) are the perfect tone for this ruggedly masculine ballad. Thanks so much, Butch, for making this great tune available, as an open duet. It's always super singing with you, but this one is something special. There is an epic feel to the story here; I sympathize with the plight of these hard-bitten riders' torment, & love the lesson imparted by these lyrics. Fantastic song, & fabulous fun singing it with you! Smiles, ~molly
Can't help loving this duet, & taking the opportunity to sing it whenever I hear a wonderful rendition of it. Poprocker has posted a marvelous version of the song, & somehow managed to give it a slightly country-western vibe with his variations, & I really like that. Thanks, "Pop", for offering the chance to sing along with you! Great fun makin' music with you, Butch! :)
