Hi there all :), well a bit about me.
I was born in 1965 and brought up on 50's rock n roll. My dad a teddyboy loved Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Bill Haley and all the fast music of that era, my mum well more a Platters, Billy Fury, Everly's type of lady. So I got to listen to it all and music was a big thing in my families home, my mother being a concert pianist back then.
At around 3 years old, I started doing impressions of all the acts, and getting my legs slapped for standing on the table doing Elvis.
Life flew by, as it seems to do and lots of others things took me away from music, working etc.
I met a lady a few years ago, she lived in California, wow what an amazing woman she was. She put life into me, I started to sing for her all the time, when apart over skype. Unfortunatly on Febuary 28th 2014 she passed away at the age of 38, leaving me devastated. She was my whole world, my soulmate.
I stopped singing, i stopped everything, life had no meaning at all.
Then a friend came to see me and showed me this amazing site and after a few weeks of wondering, well I joined and now I'm singing again, and well some days don't seem so bad.
Well its now June 2019, some 12 weeks ago I had surgery and a lung was removed and then last week I was told I have COPD, so half way int the year, another year older and not much good news coming so far, at least I still have music.
Thank you to all who listen and leave your kind words, I hope I can bring some sunshine into your days
