Music has been part of my life from day one. My Father was a Big Band leader in the 40's and 50's. what a great time it was. He arranged all the current songs into Latin arrangements. When I was a little kid I would help set up at the ballrooms for the dances that went on almost every weekend, a great time to be alive.. I have always been in either singing groups or church or school choirs. After I semi-retired I even ran a Karoake outfit in my local town for many years, just love singing.I lost my ability to sing due to poor health and for way too many years I couldn't sing as my lungs and, well just about my whole body was shutting down. I was in and out of the hospital for about ten years till one day I couldn't leave without a new heart. I was put in ICU and hooked up to all sorts of stuff to keep me going till a heart could be located, generally 17 people die a day waiting for transplants. A long shot. I waited 6 months in ICU.I received a Heart Transplant 1-26-09. A new life a new beginning. It has been a long road to recovery and I'm feeljing great now. It took a year to walk up steps again and 3 years before I could sign again. I am truly blessed. Be a donor give the gift of life. My life is full and rich now and I just love to sing. I thank my daughter Who is a siingsnap member (Ahpurruh) for getting me hooked on this, it is such fun and I am meeting new and wonderful people.
