OK, so I was a shy kid growing up. Painfully shy (if you know me now, I swear it's true!). My mother somehow convinced me to join chorus in the 3rd grade. Go figure, I would not sing with my mouth open! Always through a clenched jaw. Then through a very patient music teacher, I slowly opened up and the most amazing sound came out. :) I had my first solo in the 6th grade and by high school I was traveling with my chorus and jazz chorus to places like... The UN in New York City (Ave Maria never sounded so sweet) and participating in competitions and what not. I've been doing musical theater for about as long as I can remember and I'm very much at home on the stage.When ever I would sing in public, it became something special for me and often I would be told that I should do more with my voice. I heard what they were saying, I just didn't do anything about it. I usually stretch my vocal legs in the car traveling from place to place as well as around my home, in my shower (I actually have an Ipod dock in my bathroom!), really anywhere I am I am usually singing something.
